I need help finding this book please!

A long time back I read a book and I cant for the life of me remember the tittle or the author. I remember the tittle was a tittle of song and it was two books in one. The first book was about a guy (I think in highschool) who was slowly starting a band and he had a secret boyfriend that he met up with in a small room, at the end of that book the hidden boyfriend accidentally admits his love for the singer of the band on stage, into a mic, in front of many people and they come out. In the second story they are on tour and about the whole time the nonfamous boyfriend is sulking cause he thinks that the singer is cheating on him with another gay band singer but it ends up being a publicity stunt. Sorry for the bad summary, but does anyone have any ideas?? Thank you!
