Scott Spotson (scottspotson) Thanks Kendi. I'll make notes of the technical issues you listed and give the book one more comb-over. Glad you really liked the story though.

Matt Parker | 20 comments Chance

I'm afraid I'll not be able to get my review posted by today's deadline. Preparation for the Christmas festivities have caught up with me, and though I've almost finished reading, I don't want to rush the review just to get it done.
I'm aiming to get it posted sometime over the next week, though.

Thanks

Matt

Lisa Reads & Reviews (lisareviews) Round 3 is due today.

Since the holidays are upon us, and we don't want to rush through our reviews, it is okay to miss today's deadline as long as all reviews are posted by the final date of January 12.

Happy Holidays to everyone!

Thanks Daniel :-).

Daniel Humphreys | 16 comments Thanks, Matt. Interesting points.

In some sense perhaps it did suffer from world-building-itis (and my affection for David Weber and Tom Clancy). But with a lot of that construction done the followup(s) should be much tighter.

Sean Torres (froboy69) | 65 comments Hi everyone, sorry for the delay on my part but I needed to clear my head after being away at sea for a while.

Amazon reviews are pending but I figured that the writers would see them when they pop up~

I am finishing my last book.

Daniel Humphreys | 16 comments "There are plenty of players in this book, and for me, it raised one very important question – who was supposed to be the hero? I couldn’t place who the main character was, as the point of view swung from one character to another"

I'm not sure I understand where you're coming from here. 2/3rds of the chapters in the book feature the point-of-view of Miles.

Are there other POV characters? Yes. Multi-POV is very common in modern fiction across multiple genres.

Oh well, at least THIS 3-star review wasn't rife with spelling errors.

For sure Daniel - I mostly enjoy multiple points of view. I just felt that I didn't know enough about the characters, including Miles, to really connect with them.

message 173: by Scott (new)

Scott Spotson (scottspotson) Not a big deal, but when clicking on Kendi's Facebook suggestion, it didn't come through. Can you, Kendi, just scoop out the excerpt and post it here? No biggie if you can't.

I am still missing a review from David, though.

We had a rocky start, and I want to thank everyone for pitching in.
