I actually thought it wasn't childish, i have read some YA that have been way more childish than this was!

I just finished and I loved it just as much as I did when I first read it! I agree, I don't think it was childish at all. I've read YA books that are much more childish than this.

Just started re - reading and I thought that I had forgotten a lot of things, but I haven't. (view spoiler)[There are a lot of names to keep in mind! I love the words 'kittypet' and 'twoleg'. In a way you can compare to the HP - books: they have houses and the cats have clans. Thunder Clan can be Gryffindor and Shadow Clan can be Slytherin. Also it's a similar writing style. I've finished the first one.
(view spoiler)[You see Firepaw evolving during the story. At first he wants to work together with the ShadowClan, but that isn't what wild cats do and then he learns to behave like a real wild cat and put his clan on top. What I found funny is that the thought that Clancats would attack the twolegs. I definately can see my wild cat in the garden attacking me. She would be a good Clancat. Overall I didn't got bored reading the book for the 2nd time. I remembered a lot of things, but I thought that Bluestar would die. Gladly she didn't. You also can see that the author did a lot of research on cats and their behaviour to make this story work and that's definately a bonus for this series. (hide spoiler)]

There was (view spoiler)[ a little bit of Bluestar training Firepaw, but there definately could be a lot of more of that. I also had expected that Firepaw would tell Bluestar about his suspicious of Tigerpaw, but he didn't. I was kind of dissapointed about that. (hide spoiler)]

I've started reading book 2 of the first series:

I thought they would gather their strenght and fight to get there territory back, maybe even make an alliance with another Clan againts the Shadowclan. I knew that Bluestar wouldn't believe Fireheart about Tigerclaw. I hope she'll change her mind. I don't believe that Ravenpaw would lie about what he saw and it's sad that Greystripe doesn't seem to believe it too. It's a good decision of Bluestar to find the WindClan. She's more a pacifist, but I see a bad alliance coming between the ShadowClan and the RiverClan. (hide spoiler)]

But the ShadowClan must have known that they don't have lots of prey, only a few rabbits? Wasn't it more logic to attack the RiverClan or the ThunderClan? There was more prey in those territories.
