COMIC BOOK CRAZIES discussion

I got a new one for you Greg. One of my friends suggested Re:Monster Vol 1 and it is a weird scifi turned fantasy about a guy reborn as a goblin but he kept his absorption ability and memories of his previous life so as he gets stronger he changes how goblins live. :)

Thanks for the suggestion, Ian! It looks like it's right up my street so I've added it to my TBR shelf! :)

I totally agree with you about Saga. It looks like a good read but leaves you feeling sour. I have been reading Descender which has a similar feel but leaves you wanting to read the next one.

Did somebody, um, bat him? :P
Read three issues of 2000 AD today (progs 2013-2015). Still lots to catch up on!

I find it funny that Batman can gather up a team and lead them like a general but doesn't really talk to them all that much save for Selina.
Don't worry. This is just the first year so there is plenty of conflict to come. :)

Well Batman was always the brooding type so I'm not surprised he doesn't talk to his team that much. Maybe he just needs to get to know them better.
Read progs 2016-2020 of 2000 AD. Still a stack of 20-30 to go!

This was a good read. A pleasant one in the Friday evening.

Classic Strange? Nice :)"
I'd be into getting that myself! I've read very little 1960s era comics.

How about some original Nick Fury then. :)

And 960 pages too! :O

Just in case you didn't know there is a hardcover edition that I believe is colored. I read the originals too though (read Bone in color though.) :)

A colour version would be nice. Does the hardback collect all six volumes?

LOL Harder to bend! Does that cause a problem reading the text close to the centrefold?

I can't imagine. :) Some of my manga is hardcover (Emma, Vinland Saga, and Erased as quick examples) and none of the covers have been bent in my bag I bring with me to work (unlike some paper ones) but I have been able to read everything in the books. :)

Good. So no risk of damaging the spine!

How's that going, Adrian? I've read a couple of the Mega Collection volumes - The Apocalypse War and Mechanismo - and thought they were excellent!
Also, I read 2000 AD, prog 2031. I should really catch up a bit faster though!

I wish there were two omnibus volumes to cover this series as a tenner per book isn't cheap for short graphic novels (even if they're good)!
Read 2000 AD progs 2032-4 between yesterday and today. I was enjoying the 'Cursed: The Fall of Deadworld' series so I was disappointed that it came to an end in prog 2033. I know that 'Cursed' will return in a new series at a later time but it's annoying to have to wait till then. Still, 'Defoe: Diehards' and 'Blink: Skeleton Crew' are continuing beyond #2034 and I'm having fun with those series too.

On Feb. 6th, I read 2000 AD prog 2035.

It was a good late night read."
That looks fun! And you can get the first issue free from the publisher's Web site!

Great! Thanks for the info!

Gordon gets a 4 from me personally but being desensitized to Dread I can see why you are not as impressed, :)
