Okay, time to start thinking about books to nominate for the November BOTM! Since our 6 month cycle has started over guess what genre we are back at? That's right FANTASY/Sci-Fi!!
Now remember this can encompass any books that have magic settings, characters, themes, crazy fun science. As always I have my three votes and a few more that we can use as a base line to help you guys get more ideas.
MY NOMINATIONS:
Ink (Paper Gods, #1) by Amanda Sun
The Shadow Queen (Ravenspire, #1) by C.J. Redwine
Sword and Verse (Sword and Verse, #1) by Kathy MacMillan

MORE SUGGESTIONS:
The Great Hunt (Eurona Duology, #1) by Wendy Higgins
Paper Princess (The Royals, #1) by Erin Watt
Alanna The First Adventure (Song of the Lioness, #1) by Tamora Pierce
Flamecaster (Shattered Realms, #1) by Cinda Williams Chima
Lady Midnight (The Dark Artifices, #1) by Cassandra Clare
Ennara and the Book of Shadows (Ennara, #2) by Angela Myron

Okay, now you know, so drop in your suggestions! I want to see a lot of great books, because there are so many to choose from :)
This thread will remain open until November 19th, then the poll will go live on the 20th and be open until the 30th. Don't miss your chance to be heard.

Michelle | 1 comments Hi! I just joined the group and I'd like to make some suggestions if I can. I have three, if that's allowed
Paper Princess (The Royals, #1) by Erin Watt
Legendary (Legendary Saga, #1) by L.H. Nicole
Thief of Lies (Library Jumpers, #1) by Brenda Drake
Thanks! I am also picking up October's book too!

Peggy Hawthorne | 82 comments Great to have you in the group, Michelle! I look forward to hearing your thoughts on Venom--I haven't finished it yet, so I'll be posting more, too.

My suggestions:
The Golden Compass (His Dark Materials, #1) by Philip Pullman

(a younger protagonist, but I feel like it fits--LH, feel free to delete if you don't think so)

Alanna, Pierce
Alanna The First Adventure (Song of the Lioness, #1) by Tamora Pierce

Tam-Lin, Dean
Tam Lin by Pamela Dean
(an older one, and more strictly new adult than YA)

"Paper Princess" looks great, too! I love seeing so many great suggestions in these polls.

Kate Dane | 20 comments I nominate Clariel by Garth Nix:

Clariel (Abhorsen, #0.5) by Garth Nix

Court of Fives by Kate Elliot Court of Fives (Court of Fives, #1) by Kate Elliott

... Edited to remove Truthwitch, which I think I suggested before, and replace it with Court of Fives

Peggy Hawthorne | 82 comments I think I'd better withdraw my Tam-Lin suggestion. It will fit better with our UF month. (Just started it, btw ... so far it's terrific.)

Natasha Lane (goodreadscomnatashadlane) I have a few suggestions (though there are too many to narrow down)

Blue Bloods (I'm new so I don't know if that book has been done)

Red August by H. L. Brooks I just bought her book at the Bmore BookFest and am itching to read it.
