If you don't like a book, would you prefer to continue reading the sequel or not?

I have few books that I wasn't so interested in reading them and these books have sequels. I don't know if I'm gonna give the series another chance by reading the sequel or just stop in the first book.

I have so many books in my TBR that I don't know if I would read the sequel, not right away at least. It happened to my with Sweet evil, The kiss of deception and the raven boys. I liked them fine, especially the raven boys that was pretty unique, but I just don't feel the pull & NEED to keep going, you know? It's sad, but I have more books to comfort me.
