Hey guys! Here's what I thought about the chapters this week:
So the chapters increased the intensity a notch. Chapter 11 made me seriously worried lol, when Manon's grandmother wanted to punish Manon for killing Iskra's sentinel. I knew what was coming lol. I knew she wanted Manon to kill Asterin since she was going on about it being 'equal' when we all know she already doesn't like Asterin.
And was it intense on chapter 17 when Manon had to kill Asterin. I admit, I did get emotional at this part because I didn't know whether Manon was going to kill Asterin or not (but I knew in my head that Manon wouldn't). Man, does SJM know how to make it intense until the very end of the chapter, when Manon attacks her grandmother. That was a pretty badass move.
And omg, we find out Manon's true heritage and how the Crochan she killed was her own half sister. So horrible. I did not expect that, even though I knew Manon wasn't born heartless. I hope she does sort her grandmother out later in the book.
Also, we find out another clue about the wyrdkeys when Brannon visits Aelin and tells her to find a lock in the stone marshes that would combine the keys to rebuild the gate so that Aelin can close it. Very interesting and funny how he just randomly disappeared.
I was surprised to hear about Aedion being envious about Aelin and Rowan's relationship but I guess that's expected since all Aedion has done in his life is help rebuild Terrasen and find his cousin. I think it would be nice if Aedion thought about himself and what he wants in his life since Rowan did take his blood oath.
I really liked in chapter 19, how Elide cleverly gets herself and Lorcan into a carnival troupe. I'm liking how she doesn't depend on Lorcan so much and is her own person.
And that's all for now. What did you guys think? :D

1. I agree, the chapters relative to Manon certainly start to move things along and I'm so happy to see her move against her grandmother finally, I've been waiting to..."
I get what you mean about Manon and Asterin's bond! Whenever I think of someone whom Manon is the closest to, I always think of Asterin. I thought that maybe they would get together but I wasn't sure coz they're supposed to be cousins and I thought that would have been weird. But now that Manon knows about her true heritage, who knows, maybe they might get closer :)
Abraxos has always reminded me of toothless! Especially with how protective he is of Manon. I agree with you about SJM making characters who refuse to break. It just shows as well that no matter what someone has gone through, they can still move on and have better, happy lives :D

basically agree with everything you guys said. something to add: Manon is by far my favourite thing about this series. her chapters in part one were my favourite and it made the whole thing bearable (I really didn't like part one). at this point I was also very sick of aelin and rowan already. they're too much. yes, I get it. you love each other. now onto with the plot. I think this was pretty much the point where I realized I prefer Celaena much more than Aelin
Hope I get a chance to continue reading the book since my university starts this week and I have some set books I need to read for my literature module. Wish me luck lol.
Anyway, happy reading and see you guys on Sunday :)
