I'm in! Just finished Magic Shifts, while I enjoyed it, it doesn't really advance the Roland arc. I just want that wrapped up, hopwfullt this one will take a big step in that direction.

I'm worried about the control Roland has over Julie. I hope she's smart enough to see througg the manipulation.
Interesting thing is in none of the visions there was any sign of Julie.
And Jim is really an asshole .
I loved how Kate played with Curran but there was an undercurrent of truth to it. She was really using her magic and although Kate will fight it all the way this could become reality if she's doesn't fight it. (hide spoiler)]

I don't know if there is one but I had the same feeling when I read that. I'm guessing if it's not out yet, it will be shortly.

I love him too! I was so happy when I saw that he was going to be in this one. Ok, thoughts so far (view spoiler)[ this is AWESOME!!!! Seriously, so far on of the best books in the series. The last book was good but just like book 5 seemed like a filler book. But this one gets on track, moving the plot along.

Kate-I like how we can see her struggle with her magic. Once she claimed Atlanta, her power seems to be growing exponentially and she doesn't always have a handle on it.

Curran- what can I say? He is so supportive of Kate. He's anchoring her.

Roman- I want more! Love him!

Christopher- I wasn't expecting that. I knew he was powerful, otherwise Roland wouldn't have recruited him, but a greek god? Nope, ever saw it coming. And he's in love with Barabas! Do you think we'll get a short story about them? I would love to be a fly on the wall when Barabas talks to Christopher after finding out that the mentally broken man he cared for was really a greek deity!

Julie- like you mentioned she was very mature about the whole bond thing. I think that any freaking out happened in Magic Stars. I need to see if I have it or not.

Kate and her struggles are potrayed perfectly. I love how that part of the story is progressing.
Curran I can't wait to see the result of eating that cat.lol
Im just worried that animal had been Rolands plan from the beginning. With his power I can't see Kate getting a upper hand.

Christopher wow the best surprise ever. I would love a short story or just vignette on Barbaras' reaction to finding out what Christopher is.

I didn't think we'd see the battle itself ,there were only a few pages in chapter 15 left and it hadn't started. I guess I wasn't expecting Roland to run away from her.
Before starting chapter 15 I was thinking not much casualties in this book and when Mahon charged the zombies I thought here we go he's dead! I'm happy he didn't die.
I'm also glad that there was a confession letter from Jezbel, it might have been a little too convenient but I really wanted to know.
I want more Christopher and Barabas ! I loved it when Barabas said he didn't need to see Christopher in a suit.
Also wow Gastek is with Kate now and I don't think he'd betray her.
I knew her dad would show up at the wedding somehow.
What is Julie's coloring? I'm guessing she's not blond with green or blue eyes. I want to know more about her ancestry and what she's capable of.
I'm happy jim apologized but I wonder how Curran would retaliate. As curran hasn't completely forgotten how he treated Kate.
And yep she's pregnant!

In their battles there is never any mention of ordinary population of the cities. It would have been a great if there was something about their reaction and how they handled this.

-I thought we'd get a cliffhanger, I didn't expect Roland to flee either. I'm also glad that Mahon didn't die.

-I agree about Jezebel, we needed some closure.

-Like I said I want a Barabas POV! I think IA are keeping options open. They can self pub short stories featuring Julie/Derek or Christopher/Barabas. I thought his comment about the suit funny.

-No, Ghastek won't betray her, especially after Mishmar.

-I tgought the wedding scene was a bit bittersweet. I think Roland is conflicted. He loves Kate but doesn't know or has forgotten how to be human.

-Julie, don't know her coloring. I'll have to go back to book2 to see if there's a description.

-I got the feeling that Jim isn't really that sorry. He apologized because Dali made him and he didn't want to lose Curran's friendship. To him, Kate will always come 2nd to any shapeshifter.
