A. Scott Zechlin (ascottzechlin) | 1 comments While I was doing a reread of the Mrs. Pollifax series this past year, I noticed that the synopses for a large number of the books need to be updated. The main issue is that the synopses appear to have been written by whoever originally entered the books into Goodreads, rather than having been copied off the books themselves. While the entries are, technically, accurate, the actual information they contain is puzzlingly random - inconsequential details are described like major plot points, while major spoilers are dropped in without warning. For example:

Emily Pollifax answers call for help from John Farrell, his ankle shot (by second thief?) trying to steal document to verify Julius Caesar's signature. He saw invisible assassin Aristotle, last seen in Zambia #5 Mrs Pollifax on Safari. Feisty vacationing agent Kate Rossiter hides them in her aunt's guarded Villa Franca. Farrell and Kate flirt, uncover deadly cartel.

While I'll admit they have given me some good entertainment, I feel like these summaries are not likely to encourage readers unfamiliar with the Mrs. Pollifax series to pick it up. If someone could take the time to update them with more appropriate descriptions, I would really appreciate it!

Since this is a large project, I've cross-posted this request in the Looking for a Project? folder, here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Thanks for reporting this!
