Tyson Kunz | 7 comments Does anyone know of any good zombies audio book? I listen to a lot of audio in my car when I go to work. Thanks the list.

Chris Philbrook | 8 comments Tyson this isn't going to be too helpful, but my AUD series is going audio next month. Book One, Dark Recollections, will be on Audible/Amazon in about five weeks. I also think Tim Long's books are on audio, and he's a solid writer you might like. You can also look up Jonathan Maberry as well.

Whitney The audiobook of Zone One is quite good. I've heard good things about the "We're Alive" podcast, but I haven't listened to it yet myself.

Chris Philbrook | 8 comments I echo Whitney on the podcast comment. Heard nothing but good about it.

Thia (thial) | 11 comments I absolutely loved the We're Alive Podcast! I'm all caught up now but when I first found it I had about a three year backlog to enjoy. It was great! You can also check out my book reviews here and on audible. I almost exclusively listen to audio books so if I didn't hate it the narrator was good to great. I don't talk about the narrators much on goodreads because most people here seem to actually read books - but I listen when I travel so I use audible for reviews too. I've found it makes a HUGE difference whether the narrator is my cup of tea or not. My first suggestions would be Mark Tufo's series Zombie Fallout The narrator is great - once you get used to him. I also loved The Remaining series, Zone One was a great audiobook but light on zombie action. But a lot of these reviews depend on your taste too. If you are an animal/zombie lover the audio version of The Book of Riley: A Zombie Tale was fantastic. I could blather on but that's a good start :)

Is AUD Adrian's Undead Diary?

Yes Thia! That's me.

Well fantastic! I've heard nothing but wonderful things about it so I'm thrilled it will be on audio. Quite a few of my zombie interested friends have kept up and recommended AUD to me so sure it will be very popular on Audible. I'll be among your first customers for sure. Do you know who the narrator is?

message 9: by Chris (new)

Chris Philbrook | 8 comments James Foster will be narrating it, and hopefully the remainder of the series, if all goes well.

The series has been pretty wildly successful for me, and with the Audio book for book 1 coming out in June, as well as the print and Kindle version of book six, it should be a great month for me.

S. Davis (s_johnathan_davis) | 1 comments Hi Tyson, saw your question here, and thought I'd let you and the others know that 900 Miles: A Zombie Novel just launched on Audible this week!

The story was narrated by Jamison Jones, a brilliant voice talent and actor who can be found in TV shows like Burn Notice, 24 and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

I couldn't be more excited to see it come to life!

You can hear the first five or so minute sample if you click through to Amazon! Go straight to amazon here: http://amzn.to/1lq1RuI

Thia (thial) | 11 comments Just listened to Alone No More which is the second in the AUD series of the book mentioned above Dark Recollections. It was even better than the first book. The narrator is very good too. I would highly recommend it as a series to start - the only downside is that only two of the series are on Audible so far.

Dubster | 5 comments Could not agree more around the AUD recommend, and particularly in audio format - the first 4 have got me though a tour overseas! Any idea on the schedule for the next 4 installments?

message 15: by Dubster (new)

Dubster | 5 comments Just to add, one of the best series on audio i've listened to is the 'Shattered Land' story by James N. Cook - great characters and narrator. V. M. Zito's 'Return Man' is one of my personal favourites - glad it's not just me hooked on the genre and audio route!!

Thia (thial) | 11 comments @ Dubster
I couldn't stand the waiting anymore and bugged Chris Philbrook about the fifth audiobook release date. He was nice enough to let me know it was just a bit delayed but should be up in a couple of weeks. I CAN'T STAND IT!!! I almost bought the actual book and read it but I never have time and the narrator - this one in particular - adds so much to the experience. Hang in there, only a couple of weeks to go!

message 17: by Dubster (new)

Dubster | 5 comments Cool, thanks Thia - can't stomach resorting to actually reading again!!

message 18: by Thia (new)

Thia (thial) | 11 comments I liked This Shattered Land too. While you're waiting the Mountain Man series by Blackmore is good as well as the others I mentioned farther up this thread. Happy listening!

message 19: by Dubster (new)

Dubster | 5 comments Awesome - I'll get amongst those. Cheers Thia.

Chris Philbrook | 8 comments lol, you crazy people.

James literally just wrote me, and said he's wrapping the final recording up by the weekend.

It usually takes me a full day to approve it, which means we could be live by... like February 12th at the earliest, barring setbacks.

message 21: by Thia (new)

Thia (thial) | 11 comments Yeah!!! Thanks Chris :)

Thia (thial) | 11 comments It's up! If you've been waiting for AUD book five Wrath to be available on Audible the wait is over! Perfect timing! I'm painting my kitchen tonight ;)
