Dobby (dobby0390) | 7953 comments Amelia, you don't have a claimed Goodreads Author profile yet.

To claim an author page, you must have a published (or nearly published) book on Goodreads. The listing you added has no publishing details (ie, ISBN/ASIN, publisher, expected publication date). An author profile is not likely to be approved until that information has been provided.

After the publishing details are in place, you can submit a claim for the author profile. To do so, go to the profile page here. Select the Let us know link at the bottom of the page to submit a request to join the Author Program. You will receive email confirmation when your user account has been upgraded to an author account and merged with your current reader profile. This might take a few business days, depending on staff workload.

You can find more information on the Author Program here.

I thought I had the author page set up. Is this the correct link?

Dobby (dobby0390) | 7953 comments Yes, it is. I have edited my original message to indicate that you have an unclaimed author profile page. :-)

Follow the instructions in Msg 2 to claim the author profile, after you've added the publishing details to your book.

Amelia Arbek | 9 comments One more question...
The details page of my book won't let me add information. When I click the "edit" tab, it says I don't have permission. But in order to add the publishing information to "claim the author profile" I need access. So I'm not sure what to do next.
Any guidance, thoughts, suggestions would be appreciated!

Do you know why this would be?"

Its because it is not "your" profile as yet. You need to do as Dobby said & claim your author page & then wait until it is approved by Goodreads. In the meantime if you need any changes made, you just have to ask in here for one of the Librarians to do it for you. Hope this helps :)

Amelia Arbek | 9 comments Thanks, Zoey. Definitely helps. I already answered the questionnaire to "claim the author page." I just wanted to make sure I was doing everything I had to do on my end. Thank you both for your help!
:)

Dobby (dobby0390) | 7953 comments Amelia, it would be a very good idea to let us add the expected publication date, if you know that. It can be a month and year, if that's all you have right now.

message 10: by Amelia (new) - added it

Amelia Arbek | 9 comments Okay. The expected publication date is November 2016.

Amelia Arbek | 9 comments Just out of curiosity...
Do you know how long the process takes?
Not sure if I should resubmit "claiming the book."
Thanks,
