I think you're spot on there! I didn't like this book very much, I gave it 3 stars just for the plot twist at the end of part one, else I would've given it 1,5.
I think you're spot on there! I didn't like this book very much, I gave it 3 stars just for the plot twist at the end of part one, else I would've given it 1,5. I wrote a quite critical review on Goodreads about it but I do understand that that's just my opinion. I do understand that there are people out there that loved it. I don't feel the need to undermine someone else's positive feedback because I didn't like it. It's all personal and I'm sure that the author did her very best to write a novel that appeals to many people but you simply can't make everybody happy. That's the reason why I bought another novel from this author. You can't judge an author on just one book you personally didn't like.
Exactly, Tamara! Just because you didn't enjoy this book and I did, I'm not going to try to convert you to my opinion! I may comment on your review something to the effect sorry you didn't like it as much as me; hope your next book is more enjoyable. But I'm certainly not going to comment on every review that differs from mine! This is the world of books -- there's something out there for every reader. But every reader is not seeking the same something.

Just using this book as an example I've noticed this on, but there have been many others.
Am I the only one who feels this way?
