I would also be up for the Yates books, were I retired and had 12+ hours a day to devote to reading. But, alas, I do not, so, I'm afraid, count me out on that...
Lea
Good to see you Lea,
Lol yes, the Yates books probably do need 12 plus hours for study a day!
Lets see if anyone else wants to read a play....give folks a couple days to check in...

Sounds fair...the Yates books are a bit intense, for sure.
How about a choice between comedy of Errors and Love's Labour's Lost?
I hope someone else would join in...?

'Great to hear from you!
I like your attitude, why don't we read two plays! First Comedy of Errors then Loves Labours Lost.
It seems like we might have at least Five of us doing a group read based on pm I sent out to the group.
I'll try to rouse James Whitford too...and Maybe Martin....
I'll post reading schedules tonight or tomorrow....

Wow..I sent out a group message and got a LOT of responses!
Most people were happy to read either of the plays...
So...lets do both!
I created a notice and reading guide above...and began a discussion thread to begin September 29.
I hope that works for all reading and discussion styles.
I am so excited to participate!

I know a few of us did not like the new format designed for Goodreads....and could not participate in reading or discussions because the new site design was too painful.
I thought I would check in and see if anyone was around....and if some people would like to try a group read of a play in the near future?
some plays I would like to read at this time might be
Loves Labours Lost
Comedy of Errors
Troilus and Cressida
I would also be very interested in a discussion of Fransis Yates...in particular if anyone would like to do a group reading of one of these books...
Shakespeare's Last Plays
A study of Love's Labour Lost
The Occult Philosophy in the Elizabethan Age...
I need time to order one from the library....maybe by next week or so...
Does anyone fancy such a reading discussion?
