Hi! I have almost no details about this book... so if someone can help me, you are clearly divine. I am looking for a book I read when I was in my early teens, it was a YA fiction novel about a young girl who was preternaturally intelligent and she was either a painter or just loved paintings in museums. Her homelife was crap and the description of her breakdown included a point where she was following a "red line" through a series of paintings she was looking at, and she kept seeing the red line and it was sort of the key to her madness. There may have been goldfish on the cover of this book?
Seriously, if this rings bells for anyone, it will be a miracle. Thanks in advance... :)
