I have a used copy in reasonable but not perfect shape I'd be happy to send you. If you would like it just send me a message with the address to send it to. :)

OMG! Your so sweet!! I don't want to put you out. I found an acceptable one on thrift books. I'm thinking about getting it. I hate when they have acceptable though, it could mean anything. Lol
Latasha wrote: "this was on my Overdrive. saw it while cleaning up my wish list. so y'all might wanna check yours if you use it."I'm at my limit on overdrive holds. We have to pay a yearly fee at our library so we got the cheapest one that me and mom share. Do not get me started on that, making people pay for the library is a sin! They said the head guy was a jerk though.
Latasha wrote: "like freakin stickers on a paperback!! AGH! I hate that! :p"Or part of stuff missing. It's like they don't even check!!
We have to pay to renew our cards. But that is crazy, almost defeats the purpose of it! Yes, missing stuff would make me so mad.
We do too. That's what I meant by paying the yearly fee!! That is . . . Okay, I'm not going to rant. Lol
$6 !!!!! Ours at the low rate for mom being a senior is $30! Fir the whole family it's $60 on her senior or it would be $85!!
Melissa wrote: "$6 !!!!! Ours at the low rate for mom being a senior is $30! Fir the whole family it's $60 on her senior or it would be $85!!"whoa! that is crazy! I would be pissed then.
Yes, that's putting it mildly!! On a good note, I just got The Mist and Usher's Passing from thrift books. Well I ordered them. It usually takes two weeks or so to get here. They are slow and they are both acceptable books so hopefully they are fine enough to read :-D
I'm so excited to read this!!! i'm going to get my copy ASAP. A bookseller I follow on Instagram is going to look for the book for me this weekend at a booksale, but if she can't find it i will order from amazon or thrift books. I actually didn't even know thrift books was a site so thank you for mentioning it!
Okay, I just wrote that earlier! I'm not right in my head! :-) I hope you enjoy the site and it you buy $10 worth of books the shipping is free, plus you earn rewards. I got my $5.00 coupon from this past order. It doesn't sound like a lot but most of their books are $3.79
Melissa wrote: "I just got mine from thrift books the other day. They have tons of stuff :-D"i can't believe i never knew of this site until now, lmao, i'm gonna be in so much trouble with all these books i see :D

Omg! I get in a lot of trouble with books. I just got a thrift book order in today and a bookoutlet order. I also have more coming from Amazon, Bookoutlet and Thriftbooks. Help!! Lol
Tom wrote: "I have this so I will join. I am reading Harvest Home now so 2 group reads in a row!"Awesome, Tom :-)
I don't know how many times I've already read my poor paperback copy, but I can't wait to delve into it again!!!
This has been on my t read list. I am so excited! I think my library has it. I need to check my library wish list.

I don't know which cover I will get, as it is a used amazon copy...but I am hoping for the old pumpkin skull cover. it's gorgeous.
That sounds like the first paperback edition, circa..."Yes. I love it. I actually made a post recently about how much I love late 70s to early 90s covers. Fantastic.

yep, that's the one I got but I like the pumpkin man version more.
ok! don't be upset but I already started reading. the book is 400 pages! I can't be certain i'll be finished by the end of October. I've only read 30 something pages. (view spoiler)
All of the various covers for Usher's Passing can be found on the McCammon site:http://www.robertmccammon.com/gallery...

Melissa wrote: "$6 !!!!! Ours at the low rate for mom being a senior is $30! Fir the whole family it's $60 on her senior or it would be $85!!"Wow! What state is charging, $85 for a family on an annual basis, if I may ask? We have certain libraries that charge non-resident fees.
Melissa wrote: "$6 !!!!! Ours at the low rate for mom being a senior is $30! Fir the whole family it's $60 on her senior or it would be $85!!"If you liive outside the city limits we have to pay to join the library. Inside the city limits it is a line item on your property tax bill. Outside the city limits you have to pay the amount it would be if it was in your property taxes. Lets just say I would have to pay close to $500 to have a library card. My mom lives 2 miles away from me (inside the city limits). I am awaiting the ILL for this book. Wink wink

I've never heard of having to pay for a library card! Around here, they just cut the library hours and days. :(

I'm still waiting for my book to arrive. Hopefully it's in OK condition - I bought it from thriftbooks. I think I got the pumpkin cover, too. I hope so, anyway. Although that lion moon face is nice!
Sorry guys! I never got any notifications on this! Yes, we have to pay here in Chattanooga, TN. It used to be free for us here in Chattanooga and the little library in the town 5 minutes down the road. Then our city library said that even though we have a Chattanooga address but live in the county we would have to pay from now on. And let tell you, we live about about a block from the city limits along with all of the main doctors neighborhoods and a million other neighborhoods with Chattanooga addresses. A lot of these people with kids and the elderly are out now. We were told in private that the dude running the main library is a crook and wanted the county to start paying more money and they refused. So me and mom decided since we had to pay, we were going to the little library down the road and pay them the large yearly fee. They broke away from Chattanooga library because of all this stuff they knew behind doors. They are also opening up one of those free library things where it's a cute little box. I wanted to try to do that in our yard :-) It should be a crime to charge anyone for going to the library. I get so mad I can't stand it. I could see if it was just a tiny little fee but noooooooo. I can't even!
On another note! I got my used copy of the book today from thriftbooks and yay, I will get to read it with the group unless something weird happens. 0_o
