It's 1918, and I'm traveling through Wales disguised as a gypsy with Sherlock Holmes.Literally, I'm driving from Amarillo, Texas to Safford, Arizona with my son, daughter-in-law, four kids (under seven) and one Russian tortoise.

That sounds like the first sentence of a very funny book.
I'm in a clinic in Switzerland, getting used to my new face and about to go search for 21 white adult males under 1m50. Don't ask, i do not know why.

Dix petits hommes blancs
The author, Jean-Jacques Pelletier is a well now Quebec author lives in my town.
He writes thriller that, while most are not a official series, the same cast of characters pops in. There is some kind of story line as events from previous books are mentioned. He has a good sense of world news. Quite a few times, I open my newspaper and read a news item that was quite close to a plot point of a one of his novel.
I'm in Atlanta and in the Wastelands somewhere near Borderline which borders Texas, as far as I can tell.
I'm enjoying a thrilling cruise on the maiden voyage of the Lusitania. So far I haven't seen anyone I know (i.e. no one else is showing up to chat), though the book characters I've met are very interesting.
I'm on my way to dive in Chapel lake near Ontario (but have a water phobia and a possible ghost in tow). This thread is so surreal. I love it!
I don't know the name of the country, I'm in but I'm in the Shattered Plains fighting for my life against a chasm fiend
I'm between books and searching for a copy of Murder on the Lusitania. I think I'm going to end up buying the Kindle version. Although, I may visit the used book store at lunch today.
It is almost Monday here on the US west coast and no one has checked in today.First, I was the south Pacific Ocean aboard The Surprise. Then, I was in the UK flying with a hawk somewhere outside of London. Lastly, I was in South Shore, Florida, learning about a blind kitten. I had a great day.
I was in the UK for a little while, and spent a lot of the time in a besieged city in the Final Empire.
For most of the day I was in Washington DC. Also spent a little time on a Caribbean island till I had issues with my audio book.
I spent time at Hogwarts. Also, was bouncing between Tennessee and South Carolina. Ended the day with a few minutes in Broken Wheel.
It didn't feel like Sunday yesterday and I completely forgot. :)I was on Treasure Island for awhile, and then I was in London & Brighton.
I know I'm late to the party but I was in Papua New Guinea with people dying of Kura and their relatives waiting to eat them once they'd died. A dicey position to be in.

Janice wrote: "You may be late, but at least you got out with your life. Hehehe!"Exactly! It was fascinating though. The Fore tribe there would eat their dead as they believed it would speed up the delivery of their souls to heaven (or wherever) and that they'd take in some of their loved ones in to themselves rather than the worms. Unfortunately it is what caused the spread of Kura, which is like CJD in that it is transmitted by eating infected brains. Kura was deadly and devastated the tribe. Cannibalism existed there up until the 1950s which is crazy! There is a chapter on this in my book about the dueling neurosurgeons. Fascinating, but scary, stuff.
The Tale of the Dueling Neurosurgeons: The History of the Human Brain as Revealed by True Stories of Trauma, Madness, and Recovery It's my non fiction book that I'm reading at the moment. It's really good. Teaches lots about the brain using historical examples of ailments, injuries etc. Really accessible and fascinating reading.
