I'm looking for a series of books i read a year ago or so. Its in the Urban Fantasy/Paranormal/Horror type genre. The story as I remember starts off with a guy whose job it is to exorcise ghosts from houses and businesses and such. After 1 such job he goes to a club where he saves the Princess of Vampires/Only Born Vampire ever from an assassin. They find out hes got special abilities he gets from drinking Vampire Blood. As the story goes on he fights the goverment and werewolves even demons. He finds out hes really a reborn angel and so is his vampire girlfriend. He loses his memory's and he has a Bear/Dog/Wolf shifter pet. He drops an asteroid on a goverment research facility that was experimenting on children. The children from the facility get there own spin off series about the school they go to.

That's all i can really remember pretty sure its 5 books long when i read it hoping more now.

Gah--something similar to this was just offered up on one of the "cheap/free books" mail list that I get. I didn't buy it (too many books already) and didn't wish list it either.

Sorry about the bump ill remember that. I do remember now that he also had like an invisible bear god/demigod thing that followed him around for a few books kept the government scared of him. Turns out the main character besides being just a fallen angel is gods only defense on earth against demons. They say that god gets 1 person to defend against demons but that person is always mortal and thus easy to kill. So this angel agrees to fall and be reborn as so that the 1 person defending against demons isnt as easy to kill

Update Also the vampires ran like corporations when the government threatened his girl she told them the vampire family/corporation she belonged to would destroy the US economy and move to china or russia.

Maybe something in the Felix Castor series by Mike Carey? I've only read the first one, and I don't remember vampires particularly, but Felix is a freelance exorcist.

1 more thing i remember is that his pet bear/wolf/dog thing has a name that means bear or wolf ( bear i think) in native american and it starts with an A i believe.
