Just for those who aren't checking the Q &A thread, I thought it might be nice to announce the themes here. We did that last time and it was really helpful.

Okay... sorry to just butt in, but I was browsing the threads and just happened to glance sideways when I saw you team name. I had to stop and blink because I swore I read something else. Something way way way more interesting and, er, climactic. shows you where mind resides. XDD
Still, 'Thunder Ducks' is pretty cool. haha. thanks for the laugh, ladies.

Ha, I put it in my #6 post but forgot to put it here. My bad. :p

That's why I love it. Great, dirty minds and all that. :)

No worries, I was only making a suggestion because some people may be on their phones or other gadgets that may make it difficult for them to do a lot of searching (like I was last night, LOL).
SassafrassWeek # 1: Hard as It Gets by Laura Kaye, Book #1 in the Hard Ink Series, 4.5 STARS, Completed 5/29/14
Review: Wow, this was even better than I anticipated. I've never read anything by this author before, but I'm definitely going to be checking out more of her stuff. I actually had picked this audio up at the library because it had everything I love about romantic suspense: hot man with a scarred past, mystery and suspense, and hot lovin'. So, I decided to pick this up and I was NOT disappointed. Rixey and Becca were so good together. She was the balm to soothe his soul and I just loved that. The mystery/suspense portion of the book was very intriguing. Things were not wrapped up at the end of the book, so I will definitely be continuing with this series!

I'm a fast reader, but this was on audio. I just moved into a new house and those hours go by so fast when you are unpacking boxes! LOL The audio kept me unpacking. :) I'm going to see if I can get the next one on audio too, the narrator was great.
Cold by Brandon Shire, #1 in the "Cold" series. Finished 5/29/14 ★★★★ These two don't even really interact with each other until somewhere in the second half of the book and yet I was glued to my kindle anyways. Just a fantastic story of fear, loss of hope, lust and eventually love. I just finished so I'm still a bit leaky and will definitely have to start #2 right away. No way I can be left with that kind of ending because it feels like we just got started with these two and I need more of the back stories and for sure more of the future. Great read!
I really liked this one. The heroine had a different way of speaking, but it didn't really bother me. In fact, this rarely bothers me...I liked D in Zero at the Bone, too. Though, the only book I've ever DNF'd was Tucker's Claim and that, funnily enough, was because of the heroine's voice. Ah well, I can't explain these things.
I've been on a KA tear lately and have worked my way through her Rock Chick, Colorado Mountain, Dream Man, Chaos, Unifinished Hero series and am working my way through The 'Burg right now. Needless to say, I haven't loved all of these, but The Will reminds me of what attracted me to KA in the first place. No random kidnappings, no heroine in imminent danger (her other books have these in abundance...) and I really like the way she writes kids. I'm really looking forward to the next one!
What can I say about this book, as I absolutely loved it. At first I was a bit skeptical about reading it as I looked at so e of the reviews on goodreads, however, it was absolutely amazing. It took me a bit to get into it, however by the third chapter I couldn't put the book down. The.main character was very easy to connect with and the two men who were vying fir heart were very charming and alluring. There were some very steamy parts in the book that made me say OMG a few times, as they were quite sexy. The cliff hanger at the end of the book had me questioning everything about the relationship between the female lead and Blake ....Great book ... 5 stars and I am going to one click right now so I can find out what happens next.

Week 1 - Read the first book of a new (to you) series. 391 pg per GR Flat-Out Love series #1 finished 6/1/2014, ★★★1/2
A sweet, witty YA/NA book about the dysfunctional Watkins family, and Julie, the college student that moved with them and helped them move on. This was not a romance story, it was about personal growth. I loved Matt, the geek brother and Celeste, the 13-year old sister. I didn't love the ending.

Hi Brianne - for me to mark your book as complete, I need you to include the week # (1), post the link to your book, and clearly separate out your star rating (since I don't always read the details in the reviews). Just follow Katie or Elizabeth's posts :) Thanks!

I love hurt/comfort books and rockers so those two would be my favs. That's assuming I read a good book, of course. I'm reading a real shitter right now but it got good reviews....I don't know how?!?!
Katie
I love this challenge because even if we get a terrible category, we always have to options to raid one anothers shelves or pass. So, I guess I'm pretty open to most of the categories.
We're off to a great start! I'm excited for Friday! :)

You know, recently I've felt really burnt out on m/m, so I went back to m/f. Someone picked a Kristen Ashley book for me in the last Meet and Greet and it turns out her alpha males totally do it for me. So yeah, I went a bit nuts with her backlist. :P I love it when I find a new author with a HUGE backlist.
Shannon
I love that too. It hasn't happened in soooo long I forgot how fun it is. I don't mind reading m/f books but I find myself skipping over most of the sex scenes. What?!? That ain't right.
Sassafrass
I think the friends-to-lovers in my all-time favorite trope, so I'm looking forward to that one. Also, I really like the hurt/comfort books too.
Lisa
Wash your mouth out Katie...lol Shannon, what book are you reading now? Not one of those I recommended for you. Ive managed 8 so far of the 10 from you.
Katie
*rolls eyes* I know, I know...sacrilege. I just read so many crap m/m books in March and April I was about to throw my Kindle out the window. I need to read a good one, but I just don't know where to start. Have any of you guys read any particularly good ones lately?
Shannon
All but 2 of the 10 you gave me are possible Bingo picks so I don't want to read them beforehand. I WILL read them though.
Katie, this round of GBC I've only had a few that I really loved. Slide and all the others in that series. Pull Me Under is a new author and I loved that one also. Most were pretty forgettable though.
