I read this in about 1970. Some boys have a club where they have made their own radio, and over several nights they pick up broadcasts on it. They think these must come from a space mission, but in fact they finally work out they are being sent by bank robbers, who are tunnelling their way into a bank vault. It's possible this is actually a short story in an anthology.
