However, we can allow only limited number of people into the next round; campaign and Voting. So we had to drop some of the applicants. Apologies...
Candidates were shortlisted based upon their activity level in the group. Last time four candidates were shortlisted. This time due to higher number of good applicants we had to increase it to seven. :)

Most of you might do not know me but a few does. And I have opted for the moderator post here in this group.
I do not have much to tell you but If I am selected... I will try my best to maintain the group at its best in very way I could.
P. S Every vote counts. So make the difference by voting to whom you may like to see/have as a mod. But I want you peopel to show your power and your presence and I want maximum participation in these polls. :)

Candidates: No need to hold yourself back... Tell people what they want to hear... Speak of your past contributions... Future possibilities... while you shouldn't criticize other candidates, You can, however, go after the current Administration(Mods)... lazy n corrupt... :D

At first, thanks to present mods for including me in the list.I can see my friends in the list, looks like fun. Friends are playing opposition and baqi members don't know me, huh
So I am Narjis. I am graphic designer and I work in social media team of a political party, plus I am head of my department. So you see I have online moderation experience. My teams mates there on work are pretty lazy like present mods of this group but I make them work so there is possibility I can make your old favorite mods active. :P
Thinking of campaign speech, only this is coming to my mind "Mery moderation period main ye group taraqi kry ga" :D
Speech k ilawa, I like this group and I'll do whatever is best to keep it active and alive. The names in candidate list are super awesome. BUT dear members vote only for me. :)
First of all thank you so much for shortlisting me :) I wasn't expecting to be even selected in this list. So i confirmed is that Ammara is me. o.O seriously? As I'm not so famous :3 & mostly people don't know me. Anyways
Coming to the point.
I'm Ammara recently did m.phil in botany. Biology is my love and now doing a job as SSE Biology (just started, 2 weeks ago) :)
I want to do phd & will do soon inshaaALLAH.
Apart from reading, photography, editing, collecting books, making hand made gift for friends are my hobbies. Infact Photography is my passion. And reading books is damn necessary for me.
No matter what the circumstances are I make time for reading. Likewise I am active on goodreads too. It's my fav social website I love to be here so is the group,
with or without being a mod I'll be active here, but it's a voting campaign going in Pakistani Reader, so yes like a Pakistani I wanna do it.

Here are few things that i atleast consider my Speech here hehe!!!!
So Let's start with the past;
1.
Okay Once I made a cover for the group! xD Cover
(hehe!! I know its not that much, but Faheem asked to share it all! :P So here I’m with my interaction with the group)
2.
Started Buddy read a year ago with Sara (A deleted member) [Narjis and Salman are part of its basic members as well] which is still going on and we read a book every month. It’s a thread where we read books and also communicate with each other almost all the members are friends with each other. BuddyRead
3.
Also Started A game; Which is basically Vocabulary building skill. Last Letter; The Initiator
4.
A bit work on Urdu, It’s also deals with the speaking and reading skills of the Urdu Language. Urdu Pronunciation
With the help of my friends, All Threads Are Alive! :) I just took the start and members came and did their part and awesome things kept happening. So it’s like a teamwork where all of has to work and develop our Skills
Future;
Future is Always Bright! xD Hope for best, Get prepared for worst! :P
So for now here are few things that are on my mind considering the future of this group,
1. Interactive Group Environment Both here and on fb,
2. To resume BOTM(maybe more than one of different genres if we get enough members to reading.
3. There will be Poetry competition as well in the future! It reminds me of a verse by Jaun;
"فلاں سے تھی غزل بہتر فلاں کی
فلاں کے زخم اچھے تھے فلاں سے"
4. There will be Whole section regarding technical support of GR; (how to use it and get maximum out of it)
5. A thread where Bookstagrammers can communicate and share their files with the rest of the group.
6. A thread for Movie adaptations of a Book, where news about it will be shared and members can share their experience about the movies and all.
7. For comic lovers a section will be added as well!
8. More work is needed to promote Urdu literature.
And last but not the least, DO VOTE GUYS. MAKE THIS EVENT LIVELY!!!

Well for introduction, my name is Salman by profession I am a banker. Unlike most of you not reading from childhood or early in my life actually read my first book ( that got me into reading ) in my like 4 semester of university pretty darn late but as the saying goes better late than never.
And for me reading is essential part of my life now, it's not a hobby or something that i do when i get time it is something that i make time for, or something that become very integral part of my life.
Also been bookstagraming for more than year @salman_180, have so much idea's or things for this group. But i never have rights words to say to describe what's in my mind (BIG PROBLEM)
Things i wanna do,
Make this group more active, target different age groups, know their preference and make new threads accordingly.
We need productive competitions, according to reader's preferences, literature, likes. We need the diversity in the group. Not all read literature, or classics also YA or Fantasy is also not everyone's cup of tea. Be MOD need to know their member and contribute to each and every genre not only what to what they read or like.
One thing that was and still is very important for me buying books ( yes people i love buying love to read from physical copy) and we all know we don't have a luxury of getting new books on time availability and limited stock is always a problem so on instagram we came to a kind of solution. We all share new arrivals which is currently available in Online store of Pakistan. So that if someone's wanted to get that book they can on time. (Just an Idea).
I read in all format at the same time meaning I'm currently reading This Savage Song by V.E Schwab i off course have physical copy ( and it is beautiful) but at the same i have the PDF version in my office desktop and Epub version in my phone and tablet. I reading late in night in my tablet and in office PDF. So i will share new books and we can make i separate thread only for request which MOD administer and all the member's can contribute. (Not only MOD)>
Enough of my Babbling.

It is a pleasure to announce that this year, we'll add another mod position in our little group, 'Pakistani Readers'. As per legend it has to be done through popular vote. The selection process is very simple and straight forward.
Interested members will have to submit their names to me or Maira. We'll shortlist them. ( All members are free to apply )
These shortlisted members will be given a week for campaign; present your plans, ideas for the group and convince the members to vote for you . :)

Voting: 29/09 (Thursday), 00:00 till 01/10 (Saturday), 24:00 PST
Rules
1. All candidates are requested to limit the campaigning to this thread (Mod Selection 2016) only. Avoid expanding it to other threads; though you can post invitations on other threads, inviting other members to join in.
2. Candidates are not allowed to create personal threads dedicated to their campaign only. If any candidate finds campaigning on this single thread to be restrictive. He can request for the creation of additional thread; dedicated to some specific aspect of the campaign. [ For example a separate thread containing just the manifestos of all the candidates ]
3. Candidates are requested not to post speeches excessively. Once you posted your detailed speech. kindly wait for 36 hours to post the next detailed speech. However, you are free to give short replies to the comments made by other members anytime.
4. Candidates should avoid criticizing or commenting about other candidates. Just focus on the promoting yourself rather than the denunciation of other candidates.
5. Play Fair. Keep it civil and friendly. No hard feelings.
