What were your least favorite books of the Spring 2014 Challenge? Which books didn't meet your expectations?

♞ Pat Gent | 786 comments The biggest "bad" for me was Maya Angelou's "Mom & Me & Mom." There were a couple of others, but that one really stands out as being almost completely unreadable.

I expected more from her. I was really disappointed.

Megan Anderson (ms_anderson) | 1464 comments No 1-stars this season, but I had a few that were just sort of...dull:

The Door in the Wall
Double Dexter
Dexter in the Dark
Kiss the Morning Star
Burger Wuss

Deborah | 1668 comments My least favorites

Spellbound
Frankenstein Not at all what I was expecting. Literally everyone was depressed, and told you why in great detail.

Susan A | 1667 comments I had a good season. The only book I actually disliked reading was:
Brave New World.

Paul (metshaft) | 106 comments I read Nightlight A Parody by The Harvard Lampoon for a task. It was absolutely dreadful.

Lorna | 526 comments Least favorite Spring 2014

Reality Boy by A.S. King Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta Above by Isla Morley

Jayme(theghostreader) (jaymetheghostreader) | 3041 comments Another book I disliked was Flora

Chris (chrismd) | 1237 comments I was disappointed by a couple books I had been really looking forward to:

The biggest disappointment was A Great and Terrible Beauty. Thought it was just silly.

Also, Grave Peril has finally turned me off the Harry Dresden series, and the classic The Bridge of San Luis Rey left me--as so many classics do--asking why this book is considered so great.

Pamela (pamela3265) | 952 comments The Janissary Tree - Just disliked it.
The Enchanted April - I was really excited to read it because I've always wanted to go away on a retreat for a period of time. But I just didn't like the characters.
