Heidi Ho, Team Caps! Thanks for volunteering to guide your team through a round of BookShelf Bingo! Your job, should you choose to accept it, will require a few things:
1 ~ Be our go-to person should we have any questions about your team
2 ~ Organize your teammate's weekly reads for each shelf/category so that the BSB Ninjas can quickly and easily verify and approve your stamp request(s)
3 ~ Encourage and motivate your team (you may also ask to borrow Judithe's whip whenever necessary)
4 ~ Post regularly to ensure your team is communicating and on track each week (Send PM and friendly poke if they haven't posted at least once a week, noted their book choice, and/or appear to have dropped out of webspace)
5 ~ Send us a PM (Steph, Sandra or Judithe) should you need us for any reason throughout the game

Thanks Val, I'm sure I will. I have no suggestions at the moment for team names but I'll put on my thinking cap. Meanwhile I call not being captain.
Woooohoooo! Hi, teammies! :D Welcome, Julianne! I'm the whack who created this baby (with the help of my dear hubby) It's super easy and will help ya clean off your TBR stack. Well, until you start adding those you spot throughout the game. LOL! Hope you enjoy it!Hi Val! :D
Hey, ladies! I've played 6 or so rounds of BSB, starting at the beginning (IIRC, I was a replacement after a R1 team member went MIA). So I'm like a BSB veteran. An OG. ^_^ I'm VERY excited to have Steph on my team. I don't think that's ever happened before, despite us getting along like cereal and milk. And Val too! (*LL waves* Hey gurl, hey!) I'm excited for this new round. I'm excited about making new friends. Julianne, you're in good company.
Oh and BTW, I'm gonna go ahead and scream "NOT IT!!!!" After a bazillion rounds of being team captain and 1 round out of not being one, I've discovered the weight of it being lifted is so freeing. I ain't going back, yo!
LMAO! Hiya hunny bunny! :D I would rather not be captain, mainly b/c hubs and I are doing quite a bit of traveling of late, but I will if no one else is interested. Just lemme know and, if I am, please be patient with me as my updates will mainly be done mid-week. Cheers!
Names, names, names ... last round I think we were NO NAMED, but I lovingly referred to us as The Team That Shall Not Be Named - sounded more mysterious (and Potterish). But, I'll think on it and see what I can come up with.
I definitely feel like I'm in good company here...I may or may not have done a little desk dancing when I saw who my team members were lol.
Hey StephB...finally on a team together...yehaw!!!Played a few rounds as Zina......
Captain duties....I will bow out because I am moving in the next 6 weeks and will be crazy busy!!!....
So we have one newbie and some vets...sweet...
Team name...hmmmm

10 is also neon on the periodic table

Lol Seriously LL...I think you deserve a break then. As for Steph, you have all the other teams to look after so it might get tiresome at some point (*wispering* we do enjoy our timely shelf announcement).
As for me I've only been captain one time. Actually it's not exactly true...nobody wanted to do it full time so I ended up being co-captain once.
I don't mind being captain but I'm not really available on weekends. Yes, I do check on my phone with the mobile site but it's tiresome to work with those tiny keys. My fingers are too big or something...but I can do neat recaps and be on your case like white on rice during the week so that you are motivated to read. It's only the shelf announcement that I could not do with a handy-dandy link....it would be plain old text. Not perfect but that's my offer.

I concur. I DO need a break. I was cursed with being team captain on TWO teams where players went MIA and were hella tardy on reading books (seriously, one of the players was still reading 1 book when the rest of us had read like 4). I felt like the lord was testing me. Like the lord was saying "LL, I am testing you to see how annoyed you will get before you discover a way to throttle someone through the PC." So yeah. Too much stress. I like your offer.
HEY ROSINA (aka Zina)! WELCOME! This a place of love and happiness and friendship. Ignore the above comment about me wanting to throttle a past team member. LOVE!
ETA: Team Names....hmmm. Pour Some Sugar on Me?
My issue with being captain is that I seem to be incapable of linking directly to a post. I blame google chrome but even when I try to go back to explorer it won't work. Anyway, if you're willing Val, it works for me. :)
Zina/Rosina LOL, wondered where you'd gone :)Yes, I vividly remember those tardy readers and LL's efforts not to kill anyone :DDDD
Hey LL totally understand the throttle comment. I've was on a team where we had a chance to win and a team member decided nah I won't bother finishing my book cause it's too much bother. Hello it's a team comp. anywho. I am a Canuck and an OCD accountant. My busy season just done and I'm pretty brain fried. Need me some BINGO to get my groove on again.
Lol...I can imagine the pain of wishing you could throttle through the computer...I've wished for that skill on more than one occasion. Usually when dealing with government websites >:(
Ok so I went to a random team name generatorIce spiders
Xtreme Bandits
Destructive Divas
Eye Candy Chicks
Organized Confusion
10 Pinbusters
Strike This
As Rosina pointed out we have one newbie and some vets...and some major OCD people...should be a walk in the park being captain.I can guaranty I will always read my book per week so fear not me slowing you all down, it just takes me more than a day to read unlike some speed reader machine.
So....Top 10 reading list....
No DECAff reader allowed
I like Organized Confusion as well (although I think "Organized Chaos" sounds better). I also like Destructive Divas...because I like to smash stuff.
how about Organized Chaos Divas I love smashing things too even have a speed bag at the office for those clients I want to slap....

ROFLMAO! Rosina, you're a woman after my own heart. I ♥ Organized Chaos Divas.
OMG Destructive Divas is cute too! I'm a big fan of smashing things. How about:Divas of Organized Destruction
Rosina, I'm so jealous of the speed bag.
Julianne wrote: "OMG Destructive Divas is cute too! I'm a big fan of smashing things. How about:Divas of Organized Destruction

oh I think that sounds better
The speed bag has sure calmed me down and avoided jail time

A speed bag or something of the sort would sure come in handy when dealing with teenagers too.
*searching on google for an image of a speed bag*I guess that could come in handy in many situations. And no, I didn't know it was called that in English since it's not my first language.
I personally like Divas of Organized Destruction.
Hey pretty laaaaadies !!! Did we decide on a cap? I'm willing to help as needed. Loving these names! My OCDemoness is purring over those about any form of organized chaos, destruction, and such. Just lump me in with the majority, whatever y'all like best and I'm good. Hi Zina/Rosina! Wondered where you'd run off to. Glad you're joining us for another round of BSB.
Already I'm thinking about my Free Space book. Not sure entirely but I believe that I'll go with a series from the BEST OF: Urban Fantasy Series list for Fury of the Demon by Diana Rowland. The previous book was hard to read and I hope this one is a little lighter.
Looks like Divas of Organized Destruction it is. I haven't chosen a free space book but it will definitely be coming off the Best of Urban Fantasy list....most of the books I own are on that list though so I'm seeing what I have for the other shelves and then will decide.
I'm trying to prepare my list of books and my major problem is the Hit the Road category. I mainly read UF or PNR so it's very unlikely that there will be a car, bike, ships and stuff like that on the cover. It's more the romance novel and chick lit kind of thing. This category is a real issue for me.
A couple that I have (if you haven't read them already):
(ships)
I'll be using Venom since I've already read Tempest''s Legacy and Skinwalker is way down my TBR.
ETA: I may use
...if you like Steampunk :)
Julianne wrote: "A couple that I have (if you haven't read them already):

"Thanks Julianne, I would have to read the previous books in the series for it to work but it's something to keep in mind. Skinwalker series is a really good one, can't wait for the next one to come out. I'll look into the Steampunk section to see if I find something.
Yeah, both of those are book 3...although I highly recommend the Jane True series (Tempests Legacy). Steampunk is a good idea though...lots of dirigibles and such on the covers.
Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ wrote: "I'm trying to prepare my list of books and my major problem is the Hit the Road category. Here's what I've got thus far:
I'm starting to think "Supified" might be a difficult one as well. I noticed only a few books on my TBR featuring vamps/weres/fae/zombies had covers that made it clear that that was what they are.
Like this:
The heroine is a super badass werewolf but you wouldn't know she turned furry on the full moon from looking at the cover. She could be anything-hell, you might even assume the book was RS-based on the cover.
I'm realizing the same thing about "Supified" I'll have to take a closer look for some fangs or wolfy shapes. Oh Curran...I was thinking of
as my Free Space but it can work for Supe.LL - what's RS based?

Hope this helps us outQ: Mary: Harry Dresden's Love Slave wrote: Do angel wings count as a mode of transportation?Archangel's Legion"
Julianne wrote: "Would this count for mode of transport since she is being transported? Living Dead in Dallas"
AH wrote: "Flying coffins should count as a mode of transport. Steph? Unconventional modes of transportation?"
A: Modes of Transportation ~ Yes. All of these examples would count. Unconventional and conventional modes are allowed. If someone is "getting around" on it/them, it's good. :)
Soooo 4 votes for Divas of Organized Destruction.I seem to have been elected captain without real complain. Let's play!
We should have a shelf very soon.
Just a friendly reminder (because I forget myself) books no matter the shelf, must be 200+ pages. Graphic novels are not allowed.
Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ wrote: "Demons for a first start...I'll go for Fury of the Demon by Diana Rowland
"How do you like that series? I just finished My Life as a White Trash Zombie and really likes her writing style and decided that I need to move all the other books by her way up my tbr.
