Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Hi ladies! So great to be on your team. Do we want to come up with a name for ourselves?

I'm Andrea from Texas. Writer, copyeditor, tutor. Faith and books are my favorite things, but I also enjoy movies, shoes, Dallas basketball and hockey (Mavericks and Stars, respectively), and of course hanging out with my family and friends.

So great to do this challenge with you! Can't wait for it to begin.

If you'd like a special team name, just let me know.

Please pick the first puzzle number you'd like to solve and post it over on your reviews/puzzle thread: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Here's a link to show which numbers are currently available: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

message 4: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Awesome, thanks!

Team, what number are you thinking for our first puzzle? The numbers 11, 20, and 46 jumped out at me.

Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ (wolffaerie17) | 337 comments Hello everyone! I'm Angie from Pennsylvania. I love reading! Team name Three Reading Musketeers comes to mind. I'm partial to the number 46 myself.

message 6: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Since there are more then three members in our team, what if we shortened that name to "Reading Musketeers"? We'll get that we're the musketeers because we're team three, but it includes all of our members. What do you think?

message 7: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments *Let's wait to post in the other "official" page about our name until more of our team chips in about it.

Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ (wolffaerie17) | 337 comments It was suggestion.

message 9: by Sarita (new)

Sarita | 1386 comments I'll third #46 for the first puzzle.

For the name - not to fazed. What the majority decide.

Another suggesting "the Cover Sleuths"

message 10: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Y'all are so creative! I'm already seeing it's going to be tough to decide on a name.

message 11: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Does everyone already know what book they'll be reading first?

I've got Mountain Christmas Brides Nine Historical Novellas Celebrate Faith and Love in the Rocky Mountains by Mildred Colvin up next on my TBR list.

Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ (wolffaerie17) | 337 comments I tend to go with the flow when picking a book normally. I've got several ARC's that I need to read asap.

message 13: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments You too? Seems like my stack of ARCs keeps getting taller and taller. Maybe this team challenge will help us blaze through them!

message 14: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 1038 comments Hi, I'm Brittany and live in TX, too. I don't have any name suggestions, however, the ones mentioned sound good. I don't know what I'll read yet, but there is always something to read around here! Also, I'm good with any of the puzzle numbers. :)

message 15: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments So great to be on your team this time, Brittany! :)

message 16: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Should we go for #46?

message 17: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 1038 comments Fine with me

message 18: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Strozier Hi everyone! I'm Sarah and I'm from Michigan. #46 sounds good to me.

message 19: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Let the reading begin! :)

Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ (wolffaerie17) | 337 comments Do we tell Melanie the number we chose?

message 21: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments I think Sarita requested #46 for us in our puzzle/reviews thread.

message 22: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Let's decide on a name in the next couple of days, if we can.

So far, we have these suggestions:

Three Reading Musketeers
Reading Musketeers
The Cover Sleuths

Any additional suggestions?

Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ (wolffaerie17) | 337 comments I like either The Cover Sleuths or Reading Musketeers myself.

message 24: by Amber (new)

Amber Lemus (amberschamel) | 72 comments Hey ya'll!
This is my first game like this, so I'm very excited. It sounds like a lot of fun! I may have some rookie questions, though. :)

I love both the names, but I think I lean toward Reading Musketeers. All for one, and one for all!

My name is Amber. I'm in love with the Lord Jesus, the second born of 12, homeschool graduate, writer, coffee, chocolate and book lover, bookkeeper and whatever else I need to be for the day. LOL.
In my family, "where are you from" is a trick question, but I'll just say I'm from MO for the purposes of this game since that's where I am for the next few weeks.

I think I'm going to be going with several books at once since one will be an audiobook version, and then also an ebook/print version. I think I'll restart Sentinels of Andersonville by Tracie Groot for the ebook version since I've hardly started that one, and then the Daughter of Highland Hall by Carrie Turanski as my audiobook version.

Sure, let's try 46.

message 25: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Amber, rookie questions are just fine. Great to meet you! Sounds like you've had lots of playmates growing up. :)

Have you read The Governess of Highland Hall as well? That trilogy of Carrie's is one of my favorite series of all time. Hope you enjoy it!

message 26: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Our puzzle has been posted in our reviews/puzzles thread. Hopefully we'll find some letters with the first couple of pieces we uncover. Letters are usually helpful in solving the puzzle. Happy reading, y'all!

Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ (wolffaerie17) | 337 comments I've got my book picked out already.

message 28: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Which one did you decide on?

Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ (wolffaerie17) | 337 comments Dust by Mandy Harbin by Mandy Harbin an ARC I need to read.

message 30: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments I like that cover. Hope you enjoy the story!

My goal is one book a week, but I may be able to squeeze in another one as I've got some research books to read right now.

message 31: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Team, if we aren't already friends on Goodreads, feel free to add me as a friend if you want. I'll accept, for sure!

Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ (wolffaerie17) | 337 comments First puzzle piece removed

message 33: by Sarita (new)

Sarita | 1386 comments Awesome Angie!

Never introduced myself. Name is Sarita and I'm from Cape Town, South Africa.

I'm reading Justifiable Means ( Sun Coast Chronicles, #2) by Terri Blackstock

message 34: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Great job, Angie!

Sarita, great to be on your team. I believe we did a buddy read once. I still haven't finished that series by Becky Wade. On my TBR pile.

Oh yes! I only read that one book in the series - the others are waiting for better days :-)

message 36: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments :) I hear ya!

message 37: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Team, does the piece revealed look like hair or an eyeball to anyone else?

message 38: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 1038 comments Definitely could be

Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ (wolffaerie17) | 337 comments Second puzzle piece to be removed

message 40: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Fantastic! So glad you're on our team, Angie! Or should we call you the Reading Wonder? :)

message 41: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Two at once? So proud of you, Sarah! Hopefully we'll be able to figure out the cover with all those revealed pieces.

message 42: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Let's hope for some letters with the next couple of pieces. :) Great job with the reading, ladies!

Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ (wolffaerie17) | 337 comments Just posted my third book. So puzzle piece should be removed soon.

Puzzle updated :D

message 45: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Nice job! I stayed up way too late tonight--morning!--reading. At 57% now. Hoping to make more progress tomorrow--later today. I cannot believe it's 4 a.m. right now! Ach!

message 46: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Team Two just figured out their first puzzle!

What do you ladies think about searching near the top and bottom for either the title or the author's name? Letters should be pretty helpful.

I'm hoping to finish my first book this weekend, when I should have more time for reading. And it's possible I'll be able to squeeze in a research book that's over 100 pages before Monday.

message 47: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 1038 comments Sounds like a good idea. I just requested a piece near where we are already looking, however, the next book I finish I will aim for a different area to look for words.

message 48: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments So happy you read Keep Holding On. Loved your review! I hope I find some spare cash in my tight budget, because I really want to read that one now. :)

message 49: by Amber (new)

Amber Lemus (amberschamel) | 72 comments Looks like something in a lot of mist to me. I'm plugging along on two books, but their both over 300 pages.

message 50: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments You can do it, Amber!
