I'm sorry. This won't work as it is a picture book and only 32 pages.

What a beautiful story of true love, patience and character change.
In typical fashion, I didn't read the book summary and had no knowledge of John Newton's story prior to beginning the novel. I was rather shocked by John's behavior at points in the novel. Fortunately, beneath all that rough and tumble and poor decision making was a man in love with one woman and willing to do anything to win her favor. Even more importantly is that John ultimately gave himself over to God (surely this is no spoiler folks - the man wrote Amazing Grace).
The best part of the novel was the final 25-30 pages. Simply delightful conclusion.
As always, I enjoyed Jody's author notes at the end. She is so good at sharing what in her novels are factual and what is fabricated.
I am fully loving her "historical" novels and hope she will continue writing them. While Newton and Polly has not surpassed my favorite Hedlund novel, Luther and Katharina, it is my second favorite. It's a beautiful novel full of lessons and history to be learned. I highly recommend it for fans of historical fiction.

On the new puzzle, I'd like to remove piece # 54
We'd like puzzle 2 for our new puzzle. Also as our free puzzle piece, we'd like to have #14 removed.

This was a wonderful novel about starting over. Main character Colt has been in New York for years working on Wall Street. His career busts and he returns home to the family ranch in Washington state.
In addition to Colt we get exposure to his dad Sam and brothers Nick and Trey. All of them have challenges to work through.
This novel offered a nice blend of action and character development. The writing style was smooth and easy to read.
I look forward to the next in the series which focused on Nick.

What a fun debut!
In The Bachelor Girl's Guide to Murder, Jemima and Merinda are both single in early 1900s Toronto. They are unconventional for the time period and dress up as men to help solve mysteries. This novel is full of calamities the two main characters get involved with. There is also a blossoming romance in the pages. One of my favorite parts of the novel was the end of each chapter which provided additional information or foot note for the chapter.
I look forward to the next in the series. I recommend this novel for fans of Jen Turano.

Hi Dawn. Since Staci solved this puzzle without your pieces being revealed yet, you can save these for the next puzzle. You may need to remove this comment and add it after Staci's comment so that Melanie doesn't reveal your picks before she see's Staci's guess. Great job!
