Title: Reflection in the Music
Synopsis:
Melissa is lost and hasn’t the first clue of where to find herself. Pea can’t let go of her past mistakes, which is suffering her present and future. Sherri thrives on her vanity, but even the most vain finds herself falling short. Jane just wants to start over and make amends, but how does one mend a broken heart? Life has a funny way of connecting the lost and confused. Some mistakes are meant to be made and some wounds aren’t meant to be healed. Some wounds don’t want to heal. Despite the shortcomings and differences, these ladies find themselves all singing the same tune. Beauty, passion, art, fear and love all had their hands in the composition of the ladies’ song—a song that reveals the deepest layer of each one’s being.

We sound like we have a fair amount in common in terms of interests and professional passions. :-) I've sent you a pm.

Mine is a Quirk book (love that term - I'm going to steal it, if you don't mind!) - Dark Things Between the Shadow and the Soul.

(On Amazon and on Goodreads)
The book is an anthology of fractured fairy tales based on Indian Hindu mythology. With footnotes and an afterword to each story explaining the mythology to casual readers, these short stories will delight lovers of the unusual.
Do let me know if you're interested, I'll be glad to send you a copy to review! :)
I’m a Beta Reader and aspiring Blogger actively seeking books to read and review. I was an English major in Both Undergraduate and Graduate School with a focus in Composition and Rhetoric. I happily taught both Freshman English and English as a Second Language for six years before surrendering to my creative wild child and becoming a professional photographer. In my spare time, I’ve edited screenplays, ghost written novels and served as a Beta Reader for several independently published manuscripts.
I love and read All Romance (Contemporary, Historical, Paranormal, Teen, Erotic, Suspense along with sub-genres...Shifter, Rocker, MMA Fighter, IR…all of it) as well as New Adult, Young Adult, Upper Middle Grade, Science Fiction, Thrillers, Mysteries and for lack of a better term Quirk Books (those that defy genre and are pretty awesome as a result.)
I also have an interest in cookbooks.
I am currently not reading Horror, History, High Fantasy (think Lord of the Rings/Game of Thrones) or anything with Demons or Angels.
As a writer and photographer, I know the mental and emotional investment when creating any piece of art. Therefore, I Beta Read with the belief that critique needn’t be disparaging to be constructive, only honest and thorough. I specifically read for characterization, setting, pacing and plot. While I’ll point out repetitive or significant grammatical errors, my primary goal is to give you a view of your work from a reader’s perspective.
I am currently beta reading for free, but would be grateful for any feedback that can be added to my portfolio. If I sound like a good fit, please PM me with a description of your work, genre, word count and the first three chapters. I’m happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement before receiving your draft.
So excited to read your work!
