There is always only one series linked in the title, but all series a book is part of are shown in the details of the book. (under more details)
I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a way to make them both show up. Thank you!

I'm cleaning up (slooooowly) some Enid Blyton ghostwritten series. Her original 'St Clares' series has six books in it, but there's a German spin-off series that includes both translations of Blyton's originals and a zillion ghostwritten titles. The numbered sequence does not correspond as some of the German books 'fill in' gaps between Blyton's books. At the moment they seem to be labelled with the series title 'St Clares/Hanni und Nanni' but I'm considering changing this. I would label the original books with the series name 'St Clares' and then create a second series 'Hanni und Nanni'. So six of the books would have two series suffixes but the other twenty or so would just have the Hanni und Nanni suffix. Before I do this - does this make sense? Can books be in two series? Something I'm not quite clear about is that if I combine several editions of a book which is in a series, does GR automatically assume that all of those editions are part of that series? I'm imagining not because of translated editions.

If books are combined together, it means they share the same content. Two editions of a book should NEVER be combined together if they don't have the same content regardless of whether or not they are translations. Thus it follows (like a math proof, I suppose!) that if one edition of a book is part of a series, then all editions combined with that book are also part of the same series because they all have the same content... right? If two editions combined together are NOT part of the same series (or serieses... or whatever the plural is) then they shouldn't have been combined in the first place.

I guess I'm thinking about whether it matters which of the editions is shown in the series list. If there are twenty editions of that book, then when I click on the series title to get the whole list of thrilling Hanni und Nanni adventures, will it display the default edition, ie the one most frequently added to people's shelves? Or just the particular edition I chose to add to the series? Because 'First Term at Malory Towers', for eg, to use another Blyton series, is called 'Dolly' in German. If I am looking for the Malory Towers series I'd be weirded out if it came up with some Dolly book in German. Vice versa, for German readers looking at the Dolly series. I guess I can test this out pretty simply, actually. I'll just get on with splitting the series into canonical titles and not and try it out.

The author's series is showing up once in black and once in gray but the main series isn't show at all in the title. How do I make them both gray so someone could click on either to find out which order to read them in? Am I inputting the title incorrectly?
