Halvor (Raknes) | 4772 comments ISBN belongs to different book according to WorldCat.

This is the associated WorldCat entry: https://www.worldcat.org/title/norsk-...

Halvor (Raknes) | 4772 comments So, even when WorldCat has corrected the book entry you still rermain determined to use the ISBN which ALL AUTHORITIES acknowledge to be INCORRECT?

Did I get that right, or would you prefer me to rephrase it in some different fashion. Please advice!

I repeat, there are no authorities in the world, except Rivka at Goodreads who insist that this book and this ISBN belongs together.

This title and isbn are together on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Norsk-engelsk-..., probably another edition as it has a different cover.
And not all books and all editions are on Worldcat.

Halvor (Raknes) | 4772 comments WorldCat corrected their data since the previous discussion to which Rivka links. They did so following my report that the ISBN was wrong. I could of course make the same inquiry with Amazon. But would it matter in the least to those in charge here?

Philip (burnnerman) | 5912 comments That Same ISBN is listed for that same book on numerous sites, not just worldcat and Amazon.

Halvor (Raknes) | 4772 comments Please!

Realize that until very recently WorldCat has had this listed with the incorrect ISBN. I contacted WorldCat with documentation that the ISBN is wrong, and they corrected the information. Others may as of now not yet have caught on to this. The fact that WorldCat now has corrected the ISBN which I now bring to the attention of GR should be acted upon rather than pointing to others sites (which other than Amazon?) who understandably remain with the incorrect information.

Add to this – which to a rational and intelligent librarian, in my opinion, ought to have been quite sufficient in the first case – ALL LIBRARIES IN NORWAY have the ISBN which I urge be applied here associated with this book, a Norwegian language dictionary, not the ISBN which GR now applies. This was documented unequivocally in the thread to which Rivka linked.

Rivka as a staff member is the only one who can and she has already given her answer

Halvor (Raknes) | 4772 comments Well, then it is Rivka I'm addressing.

The answer the previous time to which she links above was "Because we almost never remove ISBNs." That is not prohibition against acting when clear proof of incorrect data is being supplied.
