Q&A with Nina Bocci and Alice Clayton *CLOSED*
Yes, absolutely! Everything from small moments with a stranger on the subway, to conversations we have with each other or our besties Christina Lauren. ;) Patricia wrote: "Hi Nina! Hi Alice!I would love to ask you both, where do you get your inspiration for the stories you write. Is somehow based on real life moments?
Thank you!"
I absolutely LOVED your Cocktail series! I've purchased Nuts, but haven't had a chance to read it yet. What's your favorite genre to read?
What's your favorite ice cream flavor and what do you mostly love about Roman Crazy being set in Rome?
Question for Ms. Nina Bocci: What's your favorite kind of character to write? And which book was the hardest to write?Question for Ms. Alice Clayton: Which one of your books has made you laugh the most while writing it? And from all the characters you've written so far -- including the ones in Roman Crazy -- which one do you relate the most with?
Chocolate Peanut Butter hand's down ;)Rome is just a magical place to visit. We knew we wanted the first set in Italy and Rome was the only choice for us. It's iconic, it fit the storyline perfectly with it's art, culture, food and hunky guys <3 ,Ruth wrote: "What's your favorite ice cream flavor and what do you mostly love about Roman Crazy being set in Rome?"
Hi! So far the favorite and hardest are the same book LOL. My YA that I'm writing is very difficult but so much fun. It's been a ton of research both online and in person traveling to Italy to make it just right. In the same breath, I would say the heroine in that story has become my favorite. She's strong, witty and determined. :) M wrote: "Question for Ms. Nina Bocci: What's your favorite kind of character to write? Thank you for answering my questions! I didn't know about the Twilight Fan-Fic connection! Those books and movies have really influenced many artists and authors. I am looking forward to #RomanCrazy and many more collaborations between you two!
Thank you so much! This has been great fun answering questions. Thanks for participating!Stephanie wrote: "Nina wrote: "Hi! We met waaaaaay back in 2008 in the Twilight fanfiction fandom. Squeeeee I'm so excited for this!!! :)Question for Alice: Where do you draw inspiration to write? Are most of your characters based off on real people?
Question for Nina: What'll be the next step for you? More collab or will you try flying solo? I'm so excited to see more of your works in the future.
Hi!I'm working on a few solo projects at the moment. I'm also hoping Deb and Helena decide to do another collaboration like FELONY EVER AFTER <3 Hanna Gale wrote: "Squeeeee I'm so excited for this!!! :)

It was definitely a new experience. It took some time to get used to but once we found our groove, we liked it. We're both working on solo books at the moment but we do hope to do another Jami wrote: "Do you love co writing and are you going to do another??"
Hi! THE ROMAN from Sylvain Reynard is incredible, the new Emma Chase is outstanding, be sure to check out ROYALLY SCREWED. I also love THE GOAL from Elle Kennedy and THE ROYALS SERIES by Erin Watt, BEAUTIFUL from Christina Lauren. I have SO many more though. Sarina Bowen, Stina Lindenblatt, Leisa Rayven, Christina Lee, Melissa West and so many more! H wrote: "Awesome!! What were some of your favorite reads from 2016?? Thanks!"
Questions to Ms. Bocci and Ms. Clayton:1)If you could describe Roman Crazy in one song which song would you choose?
2)If you are a reader, which one would you love to read on? Paperback or e-book?
Thank you for answering! ❤❤❤
Oh boy. This is a big, big list. I would say check out my Goodreads and see who I love. I read a lot of genres but I tend to stick twith my favorites. I did just read WITH MALICE from Cook and I have to tell you, it was very compelling. I highly recommend it. Nicole wrote: "Who are some of your favorite authors?"
THANK YOU for joining us!Maria wrote: "Hi Alice and Nina! Thank you for doing this massive giveaway and Q&A! "
We have been toying with it for years. When this project came about, we sort of had that light bulb moment where we decided that this book and hopefully this series would be great to collaborate on ;) Cammie wrote: "hey! just wondering how you two met and how the idea came to to co-write?"
OMG this is a great question and SO hard. I would say On an Evening in Roma by Dean Martin ;) I prefer paper, Alice prefers ebook! Abby wrote: "Questions to Ms. Bocci and Ms. Clayton:

How would you describe Roman Crazy in one (short) sentence?Do you read a lot? If yes, what is your favorite genre?
"Roman Holiday for a new generation"I LOVE YA, romantic suspense and women's fiction. :) Hanne wrote: "How would you describe Roman Crazy in one (short) sentence?
Do you read a lot? If yes, what is your favorite genre?"
SNAPE #Always Christina wrote: "Amazing - thank you for this! My question is 'who is your favourite fictional antihero?'"
Write what you want, faster. Don't wait because waiting kills mojo and mojo is hard to get back <3 Irma wrote: "A question for both: If you could tell your younger writing self anything, what would it be?"
Hi Nina & Alice <3If you could spend one day with one of your characters, who would you pick and why?
Questions for both! Hello by the way! What happens when writers block hits? Do you have any rituals before a new release?
Have you both spent a lot of time in Rome? How did you come up with the name Marcello? I love it! :D
Thank you for hanging out with us, Alice and Nina :)What is the song that defines writing Roman Crazy for you? The song that makes you think about this book, and brings those certain moods you had while writing it?
Hi Alice and Nina! Does music play an important role in your writing process? Do you make playlists for each book you write?
Question for Alice: Was the inspiration for Wallbanger based in any real situation that you heard about or experienced? Not sure what to ask Nina, she is a new to me author.
We're lucky to have a lot of friends who are incredible authors. For me, I would say Sylvain Reynard's ability to weave intricate tales is something I find inspiring. That and the core of SR's books follow the themes of redemption and love. SR never wavers from that message and I admire thatMelanie wrote: "Hi ladies! What authors do you love who inspire you?"
We both read a ton! At least 4-5 books a week for me. I read a little bit of everything. I'm a big Jeffery Deaver fan. I love many of Nora Roberts series so when a new one pops up I grab it! Crystal wrote: "Hi Nina And Alice,My question to you both is Do you read much and if so who are your favorite authors?
Thank you

How hard is it to co write a book? Did you guys split it chapter by chapter? What is the best thing about writing together? Thanks!
Ruth
Probably Daisy because she's hilarious and witty. Avery and Marcello would be fun but they'd just make out all day LOL Aleksandra wrote: "Hi Nina & Alice <3If you could spend one day with one of your characters, who would you pick and why?"
To be honest, I don't watch a ton of comedy (odd I know) I like Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel if they count as shows. I'm more of a dramatic fan myself (Blacklist, etc.) Michelle wrote: "What are some of your favorite comedic tv shows or movies?"
Go for a walk, long hot shower and listen to an audio book usually helps. Just sitting and praying that something like lightning strikes! Sometimes though, you just need to remember why you love the book and want to get the words out.Markella wrote: "Questions for both! Hello by the way! What happens when writers block hits? I have, Alice hasn't but it's moved WAY up on her bucket list for cities to visit! Marcello came from me I think. I just love the name and so did Alice. It was pretty easy to decide on it ;) MELISSA wrote: "Have you both spent a lot of time in Rome? How did you come up with the name Marcello? I love it! :D"
I would say, "On an Evening in Roma" sung by Dean Martin. It's a magical song and it really does embody the book. If you listen to the lyrics, it's very fitting -- especially Down each avenue or via, street or strata
You can see 'em disappearing two by two
It's all about love!

Alice likes Prodigy a lot. U2 as well. I can't to anything but classical or white noise or I start to type lyrics LOL Brittany wrote: "Hi Alice and Nina! Does music play an important role in your writing process? Do you make playlists for each book you write?"
No, we actually split it up scene by scene and then passed chunks of scenes back and forth to meld the voice. Since it's just in Avery's POV we couldn't really alternate chapters like many do :)We liked writing together because we got to plot a book and have it turn into something new. Not an Alice book or a Nina book but a new book :) Ruth wrote: "How hard is it to co write a book? Did you guys split it chapter by chapter? What is the best thing about writing together?

I love it. Snog - Daisy
Marry - Marcello
Kill - Daniel
