My latest release The Huguenot Sword
For faith, for friendship, for freedom.
In the time of Louis XIII and Cardinal Richelieu, when being a Protestant could mean death, The Huguenot Sword roamed the streets of Paris by night, defending those faithful to the young heretical religion. The nobility scorned them as ruffians, to the oppressed Protestants they were saviors, but to the Cardinal's Guards they were a pestilence needing to be terminated.
The situation become desperate when those in power launch a bold plan to destroy the group. One wrong move can be fatal. But the ordeal of Paris pales in comparison to the possible annihilation of their faith and people at the battle of La Rochelle.

Free Download Unkept Promises from Escape from the Prison System"The first night on a family trip to New Orleans, I peddled drugs in a neighborhood that looked like a scene from an inner-city movie. Cars up on blocks dotted the landscape.
The next day, as I dealt in an alley, I heard a loud noise and looked up to see a black Ford Taurus roaring toward me. As the car screeched to a halt, two big black dudes with medallions bouncing on their chests jumped out. I took off across a four-lane highway—ran in front of a car. It barely missed me.
The men came closer. I stopped and ducked, expecting them to fly past. Instead, three-hundred pounds of muscle ground me into the dirt. The human steamroller grabbed my neck, jerked me up and slammed my back against a wall.
He waved the barrel of his Mac-10 (pistol: editor) near my jaw, screaming,'Spit it out! Spit it out!' He must have thought I swallowed some crack.
A man painting a church across the street yelled, 'Someone call the cops. They’re robbing him.'
The Taurus roared back, tires squealing. The other man threw open the door and yelled, 'We are cops.'”

Escape from the Prison System: Finding the Narrow Door
Please excuse me if I have put this elsewhere on this thread. I've been putting it everywhere and may be duplicating.
"The days ran together, oozing by like a slug on the sidewalk, leaving a slimy trail of bitterness and regret. My confinement began in disciplinary segregation, or 'the hole', for six months. It happened because I lost my temper soon after my incarceration. They locked me in a cell twenty-four hours a day and allowed me to shower every three days. I had a Bible, a sleeping mat, and the standard stainless steel sink/toilet combo in the corner. Food arrived through a hole in the solid steel cell door."* * *
This is a sample of the ebooklet I just put on Amazon for Kindle. These two stories are from my book, Escape from the Prison System: Finding the Narrow Door. Just 99 cents. This is a different ebooklet than the one mentioned earlier that is a free download.
