Tiffany Current | 4 comments Hello,

I'm hoping somebody can give me someone advice. I have an e-book coming out in November, and I was thinking of running a book giveaway (+ Amazon gift card) to help publicize it. From your experience, when is the best time to run a book giveaway? Before your book comes out -- ending a few days before your book's release? Starting the day your book is released? Or after? I'm not sure what to do. I want to time it so my book gets the best exposure. Any advice would be appreciated!

And if you used rafflecopter, I'd love to hear about your experience or any recommendations for different giveaway options. Thank you!

Tiffany

Tiffany Current | 4 comments Thanks, Denise, for the advice. I think a 2 week giveaway span sounds good too.

Thaddeus White | 24 comments I'm wondering about this too. At the moment, what I'm going to try is having a discount price for pre-order and then the first week. Later, I'll run a giveaway to help get things going again.

It's natural for a spike of interest to happen around launch and for this to tail off. Little things like discount periods, giveaways and so on can help re-energise sales.

Well, I hope so ;)
