Anyone Up For a Good Book This Fall?

Hey Everyone -

It's been a while and I hope all of you have had a fabulous Summer. I know my head has been spinning with all the summer library programming the last couple of months - but thought I'd share this book (A Study in Charlotte) with everyone. The author is local (to Madison) and I have her coming for a talk on September 28th. I really enjoyed the book and thought I'd share it with my Readers Advisory folks. As the youth librarian - I am trying to sell the book and event to teens - but this is actually a great read for adults too.

I am actually reading that book right now... among too many others! It is cute so far but the mild drug use and smoking makes me sad as a parent but we will see how it pans out in the book.

The drug was a little disconcerting- I know why she did it but it will actually be a strong point between Jamie and Charlotte. I know what you mean about too many books - since taking on a full time Youth Services position I don't get nearly enough reading done. Those people who believe librarians get to read a lot are very wrong. That doesn't hinder my piles from getting bigger daily :)
