Night ~People Sometimes Scare Me~ | 599 comments Name Elderos

Location Elderos is an extremely large continent in a central area of Rondamere. It's access to many other continents and a large variety of civilizations make it a fruitful place for trade and research as many ideas and people pass through daily. This cultural mixing has allowed for some of the best inventions and ideas to spring from Elderos

Georgraphy Elderos is kind to the mortals that live there, with mild climates perfect for farming to lush forests teeming with wild life and surplus of natural resources above and under the ground. It's a veritable paradise to those who live there. To the north there is a harsher region known as The Wastes where all things nasty come to exist. It is often treated as the land of the exiled and going there is strictly forbidden without express permission for the governing body. Though many adventures have struck out to try and claim these harsher regions most don't come back, or less commonly come back... changed.

Capital The Capital city is the seat of the throne as Elderos is rule over by a king. It's a lovely city known as Chasendale. Chasendale is half made up of the noble and royal quarters which is the fancy fancy part of town, and the giant trading markets and living quarters of it's residents which is the less fancy but still pretty fancy part of town.

Other Towns Besides unknown parts of the waste there are five other main cities or towns one should be aware of in Elderos.

Miraveil: A city more or less dedicated to farming and producing food for the rest of the nation.

Lora keir: A large military town where fighters and guardsmen are trained.

Western Chasendale: A smaller version of Chasendale off a good ways off in the west, it is a city of worship.

Kunava: A port city to the east.

Lucra: A port city to the south.


Form of Government Elderos is ruled over by a single king or queen related to the crown by blood. He or she who marries the king or queen will not be considered a king or queen as it is a title fitting only those of the blood line. A king or queen may marry multiple people of either genders and keep spare lovers as long as they produce some kind of heir to the throne at some point. The king or queen has almost sole rule over Elderos. Except there is a council made up of various nobles, generals, and even some powerful commons people. This council has the right to over rule the orders of the king or queen in benefit of the common people as well as decree some orders of their own. The king or queen cannot however be over thrown without good reason as the king or queen has a large group of people called The Army of The Crown which serves them and them alone. If the council starts to get out of hand then during an attack from the monsters of the wastes then the Army might just accidentally lose some of the more important council members in trying to better protect the king or queen.

State Religion Because Elderos focuses on trade it has a rule of tolerance. This rule basically states anyone is free to practice their chosen religion as long as it causes no harm to others or the kingdom. That being said a religion that warrants dangerous activity or is frowned upon enough to cause the kingdoms reputation harm may be banned.

That being said there is a most commonly practice religion in the kingdom with is pray to the Firefly as well as the goddess of life Aileas.

History The land of Elderos was one of the largest continents on Rondamere when it first came into being. Because of this large groups of merchants, traders, and genius flocked to the land in order to trade goods and ideas. Slowly over time Chasendale was founded and Elderos became known as the land of trade and prosperity. There have been some tough times when a bad king or queen took the throne but thanks to those who work in the shadows their rule was shortened and one of the heirs took over. There has never been anything really all that bloody except that occasional fights against the beasts that live in the Wastes. Those are usually however crushed by The Army of The Crown.

Elderos has always been known as a very open and very tolerant land which is why it attracts so many different kinds of people. Harassment is one of the harsher punished crimes, especially when sexuality or race is called into question.

Name: Shadow Lands

Location: An incredibly large land mass off to the side of the main continent of Rondamere. The water surrounding the island is known to be incredibly treacherous. Not because the water itself is dangerous, but because the water seems to always be able to confuse those who enter it and knock them off course whenever they're heading for the shadow lands. It's as if all tho enter the water are just wandering around in the dark, which has given the water surrounding the shadow lands the name "The Dark Sea".

Geography: The shadow lands are not as dark as you think. It has just gathered it's name for that fact that not many outsiders have actually seen the land. The most people have seen of it our small glimpses of a land mass that "seemed more like a shadow than the real thing" and as such has been shrouded in mystery. Although, for the those who live on the large land mass it is much different. Most of the country is covered up in dense forest and rolling hills never quite reaching the size of mountains but being of considerable size. The climate is rather moderate all year around, with summer being a bit hot, and the winter being just cold enough to get chilly. The best times of the year though are fall and winter, when all the trees either blossom or fall at almost exactly the same time. Making it one of the most beautiful times of the year.

Capital: A place simply called hill top resides near the center of the region upon the tallest hill in the entire land. It is one of the few places not covered in trees, and from its high top you can gaze upon the top of the trees and watch the season change.

Form of Government: The shadow lands are a theocracy with Izar at the charge. She makes all the rules and is the one whom all local residence worship. In most cases Izar simply just allows her people to do whatever they want and each problem is solved on a case by case basis, and when Izar is not present most cases are put up for a jury trial where the one in question is judge by a group of his peers who decided his verdict and his punishment. The land is rather lacks and if it wasn't for the intense worship of Izar then their would probably be anarchy.

State religion: Path of Izar

History: The shadow lands doesn't have much history, as no one from the outside has managed to reach the island without permission from Izar herself. This has led to many account detailed by adventures of reaching a rather forest area where the adventure in question had lost everything he owned upon landing in one of the port cities by the many thieves that run rampant through he cities. This has led to the few Shadow landers who have reached the main land to be considered thieves and con artist. Which 9/10 times is true.

Name: Kragtige Vrou

Location: Off to the south west of Elderos lies the land of Kragtige Vrou. The land itself is considered dangerous as it has many untamed and wild beast and people inside of it, but those strong enough to survive the trip through it are rewarded greatly.

Geography: Kragtige Vrou is an extremely dense forest area noted for its intense humidity and massive trees. The trees themselves are incredibly thick and tall, towering to unimaginable heights as the leaves shade most of the ground below. Their are no known roads in the entire region and the only way to find and town or city is to follow the rivers which lead to the many tribes that are dotted through the region. Any traders in the region even refer to each river by the name of the tribe that lives along it.

Capital: Their is no capital of Kragtige Vrou, instead each tribe is its own separate country with their own capital. Making it hard to give the region a true "capital"

Form of Government: Kragtige Vrou has no know government, as the entire region is simply just a large group of separate tribes who all share a close proximity. This does not mean that the tribes don't work together. If anything this large separation of tribes actually live in harmony with one another, with them only banding together to keep out any unwanted countries from trying to move in on them.

State religion: Kisosism

History: Kragtige Vrou has always kept to itself as a country. Never moving outward from the forest, and always keeping outsiders out of it. For the longest time the region would attack any and all who entered it, which did cause many merchants to complain about having to go around the dense forest in order to trade, but when fifteen foot warrior woman come out at you screaming. Many merchants decided to take the long way around. Although, some people were still stubborn enough to want to go through the region, so they sent a few envoys in order to try to talk peacefully with the giant woman. The first few attempts were huge failures, with everyone coming back alive but battered, but after a few tries they realized what was wrong. It seemed the people of Kragtige Vrou were in a matriarchy, and any time they had sent a man over it had angered toe tribes people. They instead sent only woman to talk to the tribes people, and surprisingly got a good response from the tribes woman. They quickly came to an agreement to not attack anyone who came through the region, in exchange for the merchants actually stopping in the cities to trade as well. This agreement turned out to be immensely successful, as the tribes woman grew less aggressive to outsiders of either gender, and had even started to spread their culture to the outside world. Soon after these fifteen foot tall warriors were seen exploring the world, now interested in what was beyond their forest.

Name: Ferros

Location: To the South of Elderos and East of Kragtige Vrou lies the mountain range that is Ferros. Compared to the two the land is rather small, but it makes up for it in having one of the greatest natural defenses in the world. Which is mountains. With mountains surrounding the area on all sides it has become rather hard for any nonaerial forces to actually make any progress towards conquering the region.

Geography: Ferros is a large mountain range that is up against a lot of the southern part of Elderos . The land itself is nothing special, and is actually quite barren save for a few places to produce food that is hidden in the middle of many of the mountains. The entire land mass can be rather cold due to the altitude with the most notable parts being not the land itself, but what the people have built. The most seen one is the massive and huge walls Ferros has built around its entire perimeter, with only a few actual doors that would allow you to get inside and outside of the country. Past that it is the massive amounts of holes in the mountains due to extensive mining.

Capital: Ferro is the capital of Ferros, and as such is the largest hub for art and creation in the entire country. It is the most traveled to city if you need a master smiting of any kind weather it be a weapon smith or locksmith. Just be careful, it can get rather pricey in the city.

Form of Government: Ferros is a Monarchy with one royal family in control of the entire region. The king himself doesn't do much ruling as the entire region tends to be self sufficient as almost everyone in the country has some form of craft they can offer to help the economy, and anyone who doesn't can always get a job mining in one of the many, many mines that are scattered through the entire region. If anything the king is just their to represent the country and be the one who proclaims war on another country.

State religion: Ferros' Fire, although any religion is allowed to be practiced their, the country focuses on Ferros' Fire.

History: Ferros is probably one of the most powerful countries in the world. It's gold mines produce enough gold to keep the entire country from going out of dept and produced enough iron to give everyone a sword and a full set of custom armor. It has been noted to be one of the defensive minded countries as the entire region has a wall built around it, and each city inside the country has its own wall as well. Although not a very aggressive country, its immensely vast amount of minerals either make it a target to attack or trade with.

Location: the Rendell mountain range
Geography: it is a mountainous area surrounded by fields the valleys are void of vegetation
Capital: the city of Fathamore ( named after the god Fathamore)
Government: monarchy( the king is Signiel)
State Religion: they mainly worship Fathamore however they have erected temples to all the gods and goddesses so their followers may worship here
History: the dragons were guided here by Fathamore who also gifted them the dragonite crystals and taught them how to carve into and build with the rock and taught them the art of war and the art of protection after centuries of prosperity a rebel faction of dragons that held malice and jealousy towards the gods and goddesses almost obliterated the other dragons leaving only a two year old baby dragon and three hidden nests each with a hundred eggs the elders also sealed three of the strongest warriors and the general inside amountain only to awake when the first of the survivosr, if there were any, to reach the age of fifteen and marry them for they would become the new king the baby dragon that was left alive was taken in by a family that belonged to another species at age five the dragon who was named dragon returned to Rendell and studied the ways of his kind as well as raised the young hatchlings at age fourteen he avenged his people and at fifteen became king now at age sixteen he acts as ruler under Signiel's rule the kingdom of Rendell has experienced more prosperity than ever before and its people thrive.

Location It's directly across the sea from Elderos with nothing in between, it's a straight shot but it takes a couple months to cross by boat since there is a lack of currents and wind between them.

Geography Alzarius is one of the most barren and desolate nations you'll come across when traveling Ronadmere. For the most part it relies on other nations in order to import food items. The more race like creatures have trouble living here as they are constantly hunted by the beastly monster spawns of the ruling god Tenderis.

Capital The City of Bones

Government Alzarius is a theocracy in which Tenderis's law is supreme to all. All must be completely loyal to him. Serious punishments are dolled out for disloyalty or betrayal.

State Religion The Web Spinners

History Tenderis claimed Alzarius very early in creation in order to start off his plans of overthrowing Firefly right. Often in the past he has created many species to test his followers skill in fighting and surviving. He's gone as far as to make Alzarius a wasteland full of horrendous monsters just to make sure all that follow him are as powerful as he can get them. Yet for some reason everyone on Alzarius without question follows him. People aren't allowed into the region even if they don't follow him. Even trade is completed on boats a couple of miles away from the docks.

Location Veroth is directly to the south of Elderos. They are close enough that it only takes a couple days travel by boat not to mention the currents are kind between the two.

Geography Veroth is covered in natural beauty and greenery. There are plants and animals a far as the eye can see and most of the native species follow the rules of Flora while working along side each other.

Capital There isn't really a capital per say.

State Religion Children of Nature

History Veroth has been the home of many new species in their younger days since the land of a nature goddess is one of the best to thrive in. None of the species have ever gone to war out of sheer respect for their goddess, but there has been small amounts of fighting in the past which was quickly halted by Flora. The nation itself was actually set aside by Aileas in the early days of creation. First so she could test out new species and later it found a different use when she brought her daughter into the world. Ever since Flora has bee guarding her peoples. Some are a lot more open to trade since the proximity of Elderos north of them (since they are south of Elderos). But towards the main lands the more reclusive creatures live.

Astra  (sayomina) Name: Wild Endeavour

Location: Arcadia valley

Geography: The first thing to know is that this tiny kingdom is surrounded by six mountains, making it a bowl. Mount Cadon, Mount Lung, Mount Perdition, Mount Solace, Mount Solitude, and Mount Serenity. There is a Y shaped river that runs in between Mount Solace and Mount Solitude with Mount Serenity in the middle. On the other side of the valley the rive runs in between Mount Cadon and Mount Lung. The river is called Cadonflood River. While the river flows east to west there is a lake, Lake Abydos in the center. It isn't a very large lake, which allows for the river to continue flowing east to west. in the valley surrounding Mount Perdition is a small desert that leads into a cave system within Mount Perdition. This area is known as The Death Zone.

Capital: Arcadia

Form of Government: The High Council, sometimes called the Supreme Council. The High Council is a group of around 50 members and a president that make all the decisions in the valley.

Officially, without a President, the Council could ratify nothing, even if this occurred in exceptional cases such as the absence of the President-elect.

State religion: The Concord

History: The Nation Wild Endeavour was first established by a small nomadic group who called themselves Time Seekers and the Concord. This group worshipped Melody and devoted their lives to history and time. They settled down because Melody told them they needed to. As they grew Arcadia went from being a small town to a large city. Other small towns were also built around the valley. After about a hundred years The Death Zone was discovered. The Time Seekers decided that they would use the Death Zone to hold games where combatants would fight to the death.

Name: Cremat

Location: Directly west of Elderos. It is notably more hot than the surrounding countries for the style of climate it is supposed to have. Even more so than the humid Kragtige Vrou to its south.

Geography: Cremat has two distinct regions. The almost never ending desert that surrounds the grasslands in the center of the nation. Despite the intense heat and almost barren landscape of the desert, their are many cities scattered around the desert. Most of these cities are close to a source of water like an Oasis or River, so finding a city always means finding water. While most deserts cool of at night, Cremat is known to be rather warm even when the sun is down. Luckily many Crematians know of ways to cool off from living in the desert for so long. Past the vast dessert lies the center of the nation. A long stretch of land covered from head to toe in agriculture. The entire center of the nation being essentially one giant farm split up into an abundant amount of farmers. It is said that their is enough food in the Center of Cremat to feed the entirety of Rondamere. Luckily they have a scorching hot desert to keep their food safe from other less fortunate countries may try to steal.

Capital: In the very very center of Cremat is the only large city in the farmlands of Cremat. It is called Brightest point as it is where many say Helia shines her light the strongest, and is where her most adamant followers reside.

Form of Government: Cremat follows a sort of theocracy with Helia at the center stage. Her opinions and feelings on certain subjects are usually written down and made into a code of laws that the entire country follows. These laws change over time as Helia's opinions change so sometimes change comes quick, and sometimes change comes slowly.

State religion: Sun Worship is the nation's religion, but allreligeons are mostly allowed. The two religeons that closly followed behind hers is the firefly's and Rondamere's

History:Cremat was created by Helia when she finally had the time to settle down a bit and focus on more than just lighting up the sky. Being so close to the firefly she was given a good portion of land to work with when creating her own nation and plenty of resources to make her own followers. She, of course, wanted to make mortals who could withstand the full brunt of her empowering light. This sadly led to a few failed test, a few crazy people. and a large sum of her land become a desert. Realizing that she had been a bit too hopeful in the survivability of mortals she dialed her power back a bit, but unbeknownst to her she still gave her follows a resistance to some of her power, and soon enough some of her people even moved into the desert she assumed was barren. Suffice to say she was both surprised and pleased with this result.

Name: Magtolide
Location : Some would say that Magtolide is a floating pocket dimension. And while they would not be wrong, they would also not be correct. While it is a separate dimension, it is very easy to find the gateway to it. There is one on every continent, giving the illusion that it is located in numerous places. It is, however found in a cluster of mountains. The exact location of these mountains has not been documented.
Geography : The nation itself is a singular city divided into equal portions. Artificial biospheres power numerous industries, allowing it to be independent of other nations.

Government: The government is a form of theocratic democracy. Rulers are a council elected by the people who follow doctrines passed on to them through oracles. Elections are held every ten years, but only for half the council of six at each time. The council issues laws that can be changed or abolished depending on the time, based on the direction of one or more oracle.
State Religion : Predestination, although other religions are tolerated and practiced.

History: Magtolide was founded by the god Itolin as a place of scholarship. The god's only hand in the nation has been its creation. The people themselves built each of the five sectors of the city, all with their own purpose, under the belief that it was predestined. It was first populated solely by followers of Predestination who flocked there upon its creation. The city itself had already been built ( seemingly by Itolin ) and was later expanded to suit the growing population. The first sector, while considered the "capital" became two, one for residence and one for farming. Artificial biospheres created by the inhabitants, who are or were mostly scholars, were produced by magic when growing concerns for food came into play. People moved into the second sector as the demand rose, and a third sector was created for husbandry alone. More still migrated to this sector before the growth plateaued. Over time, as the population reached stagnancy, the council had come to the realization that they had not the perfect center for education of their youth. This is where the fourth sector came about, marked away solely for the education of the young people and those who wish to pursue further enlightenment. The final sector, to date, was made for the accommodation of more people, who are presumedly visitors or immigrants. The first sector has been modified for worship of Itolin and for the workings of the state.

Location: North of Kragtige Vrou
Religion: Track of Dobutsu( in this region worshiping Dobutsu's children is considered another part of the Track of Dobutsu), Kisoseism, Other Religions are tolerated,
History: This land was created for the Furries and because Dobutsu's followers wouldn't stop bugging him about creating a land of his own. There isn't much history to the land itself as it is populated mostly by the furries they usually have good relations with the neighboring Vroulikes do to the similarites in their cultures. They showed much resolve when opening their borders strict laws were put in place to a sure that women stayed the dominate gender Dobutsu was asked to come to the discussions of these laws however he slept in and just sent a letter saying that he approved of whatever laws they made up and that he was sorry for not coming. When dobutsu's children were born many rejoiced and temples were erected for them Dobutsu even hired all the speacies of animals best suited for construction to help build them. after many temples were created Dobutsu visited the land to see the temples he was happy to see the temples to him his children and Kisose but he was disappointed to see that no temple had been constructed for his sister or his mother so he did it himself he made great temples to both his sister Flora and his mother Aileas each reflecting who they were and made as beautiful as he possibly could make them. He told his mother and sister about the temples then told his people that he would prefer that they remember his sister and mother.
Culture: the culture matches that as described in the furries Profile. Even though the main religion is the Track of Dobutsu the three biggest temples are dedicated to Kisose, Flora, and Aileas
Geography: the land is quite big it contains a dessert, a savanna, and a sprawling forest the capital is located in the middle of this forest.

Location: Towards the south-west of the world, It is made up of three islands of separate coloured water. The closest nation would be Cremat.

Geography: There is three islands that make up the nation of Kabraocor. The largest is Lokya, the most civilised and least welcoming of magic and where the Dayforge Dynasty main temple and building is. The middle sized island is Bodad, Most of this island is jungle with only one known city and other tribal esque that live in the jungle. The third and smallest is the land of Sangtine. They are the base of those who oppose the Dynasty and welcome magic and creatures of all kinds. All three of the islands are jungle and tend to have large beaches before hitting the thick trees. It is very warm and humid. (view spoiler)

Capital: The Captial of the nation "officially" was Amos in Lokya.

A form of Government: A dictatorship that refers to themselves as "A democratic republic". The Dictator in reference is The Dayforge Dynasty and is enforced by the Whips; soldiers who are deadly in hand to hand combat. Then on the other ruling islands, They have officials of the Dynasty acting like governors.

State religion: There is none, You worship the ruling Dynasty. But those on Sangtine worship a whole slew of gods referred to as The Dawn War Table.

History: The islands are in great tension at the moment. In the past, it has had a very peaceful time, the government completely listening to its people. They were never war-like and spent a lot of their time working on the arts. About 80 years ago, though, the Dayforge Dynasty took over by force. Their leader was a general by the name of Gao Dayforge. He took the main island and then sent his Whips and Governors to watch over the other two. He bent them to his will. With him in they created many things but for what cost? The people live in misery while the rich and politicians splurge and show off their wealth. They have a holiday where every year the poor get to watch as the king and his disciples flaunt with a great feast for Winter's Crest. So you could say that the normal people are a bit upset.

Location: south of Ferros and with a big sea to their south, to their east is an uninhabited jungle

Geography: the nation exists out of 3 different territories, the biggest part of the land, about 80% of it is a pure and hot desert, with sand hills and an occasional sand mountain, to the north of it lies grassy hills with a rather pleasing climate, perfect for farming, on it's east border lies a thick jungle, the desert and jungle lie right next to eachother, while the grass hills slowly go over into the desert and the jungle in a more natural way

Capital: the capital is on the nothern half in the country, near the climate change between the desert and the grass hills, it's named Entrapa

Form of Government: the nation is ruled by a king, but the king doesn't have all the power over the nation, as a main healer and a general work as advisors, carefully selected by the kings, the power is divided into those 3, with usually most power going to the king, when the king dies the people choose one of his kids to take over the throne, unless the kids are too young to rule in which case either the general advisor or the healer advisor are chosen to be the new king

culture: Their culture is mostly fixated on rebuilding their country in their new territory, and getting back to the power they used to have, they live based on ranks, men and women have the same rank and can both get higher ranked by getting good enough to deserve it, but it's deemed honourless to attack a lower ranked individual, and they have a big dislike for nations that treat people badly based on gender. one half of the people live normally in the cities and towns, Always ready to defend themselves from an attack, the other half lives in the rest of the land, and see anyone that's not their race, the Chaleta's, as an enemy that needs to be killed, their naturally very careful of other races, but they are willing to make alliances and peace negotiations with other races

State religion: the nation has no forced religion, meaning everyone can choose their own religion, but the majority of the nation belongs to the followers of life

History: the nation used to be located much more in the north, where they lived happily and with one of the biggest populations, but when they got into contact with other nations, things didn't go as planned and many wars came, causing them to lose most of their inhabitants and to flee to their Southern location over time. when they got here they at first had trouble surviving in the heat of the desert and the lack of food, plus the deserts seemed to have dangerous animals in them that became a threat. but they managed to get some help from a few other nations, enough help to allow them to survive, and create their own cities and nation, where they are now thriving and slowly becoming stronger

Relations with other Nations:
Allies: Elderos, Rendell

Veroth is neutral, but they're on good terms

Neutral: Ferros, Shadow lands, Wild Endeavor, Magtolide and Cruor,

Kragtige Vrou, Kabroacor and Dobutsu no teikoku are neutral, but they're not friendly towards them

Enemies: Alzarius, Cremat

and it's because of Cremat having to do with deserts too and their will to burn everything, the nation isn't exactly fireproof
