Perks of being a Wallflower Challenge
You can choose to list the books as you read them or list the books that you want to read and check them off or cross them out as you go. Set up looks like this:Duration: 3 months
Level: you choose!
Completed: 0/#
List of books read:
I've already read: The Perks of being a Wallflower, The Great Gatsby, and To Kill A Mockingbird, and let me just say they are amazing books. This list is amazing, and I think I'll read The Catcher in the Rye and Peter Pan. Also the whole concept of reading all the books mentioned in The Perks of Being a Wallflower is just hands down genius.
If you've already read some of them, do they count? Or would we need to re-read in the 3 month time period?
The goal is to read as many as you can in the 3 months, but you can mark them as read just to keep track or do a reread.
I've put the list here, will come back and mark them as I read them. I read Catcher in the Rye several years ago. Loved it. I will probably put that to the back of the list in my head because I have read it already. I've read To Kill a Mockingbird as well. Interesting to see books I have read on a challenge list ha ha.----------------
The Perks of Being a Wallflower
The Catcher in the Rye
The Fountainhead
The Great Gatsby
Hamlet
Naked Lunch
On the Road
Peter Pan
A Separate Peace
The Stranger
This Side of Paradise
To Kill a Mockingbird
Walden or Life in the Woods
Oh I'm game!I love The Perks of Being a Wallflower and I've had the idea of writing out all the books mentioned at some point haha! Awesome idea Kristie! :)
I've read a couple of these but will reread them for the challenge :)

Not a dumb question, Arwen! Yes, it was Albert Camus. If you click on the book titles under "List of Books" in the first message, it will bring you to the book pages. They are active links.
EDIT: Realized I can't finish. At all. So, I'm trying again and hoping for better results.-----
I'd love to join in! I've been thinking about doing this ever since I first read Perks. c: I'll see if I can re-read some of the ones I've already read if I have time. (rr is for books I want to re-read if I have time)

I'm going to join this challenge. I've got to try and get some of the books from my library it may take awhile I live in a small community with a small library. Excited to read all these books.
I love this idea! I've already read a few on the list and have been eager to read some of the others! I'll be happy if I can get through all the books I haven't read!
Sounds like a relaxing vacation, Gena. Hope you have a wonderful time.Welcome to the challenge, Christine!
It is a great idea. I was doing the same thing by listening to all the songs they mention on the book. I would like to join the challenge and read as much of the books I can.

Super excited! These books get the love we think they deserve ;P
You're cruising right along, Arwen! What did you think of the first two books you read for the challenge?
I loved perks of being a wallflower. I found catcher in the rye ok, apart from taking a thorough dislike to Holden. I am finding the fountainhead an almost impossible read. I am going to put it down and carry on with Gatsby. I don't want this one book to slow me right down. I can come back to it.

Only just discovered this; it is such a good challenge. Kudos to whoever created it! I have already read >The Great Gatsby (one of my favourites)
>To Kill a Mockingbird (enjoyable)
>The Perks of Being a Wallflower (read twice because was so good!)
Only just finished The Catcher in the Rye which i can't say i enjoyed at all really. I think the themes passed over my head and i couldn't really relate to Holden either. Is that just me or does it require a second reading to understand his perceptions clearer?
What would others recommend to read next off the list?
