I have submitted this review 3 different ways to Amazon. I know there was a change in what is required to add to your review when you receive a complimentary copy. I believe the word voluntarily is required. I submitted 3 different reviews trying to get wording correct. Is anyone else have trouble? What are we supposed to add to get Amazon to accept it? Anyone. Anyone.

Amazon specifically says: See all verified purchased reviews. It does not show complimentary reviews. If you don't buy book from Amazon they will not post your review it appears.

Diane, I usually get my books from the library, but amazon accepts my reviews of them. My latest was done yesterday.

I've never had any problems with any of my reviews from books I purchased that were not from amazon.com. With the complimentary books. I just state that I received a free advance arc for my review, but several of the Indy authors that I read for make them available at low enough price that I also will purchase them to help them sales wise and state that.
I agree with the above. They always post my reviews regardless. I have heard comments here and there where apparently people believe that some of the 5 star books are made by people to promote the book. I think I believe that as I sometimes get a 5 star book and wonder how it got 5.

Apologies in the delay of reading, and also the time ready reading the book, work commitments not allowing me the time.
DI Kim Stone is one of my favourite characters in this crime/thriller genre. The trials in her own background determines how she responds to individuals is rated on the varying degrees on her personal ‘don’t muck me about Stoneometer': the vulnerable ones have her full and immediate attention, her close knit team know how she works especially when they’re testing the little patience she possesses, and throw in the odd psychopath now and then and it’s a challenge she will rise to.
Stone’s cold and even frosty attitude is a stark contrast of how she fights the corner of the victims in the cases she works. In this case, two unrelated victims from entirely different backgrounds are discovered with a single fatal stab wound and, as ever, she is determined to get justice for them - thank heavens for Bryant, her trusty side-kick, who has ample diplomacy for the both of them when dealing with the general public and oddly uncooperative family members!
During the investigation Bryant senses a shift for the worse in the DI’s usual testy mood and realises something is amiss, but as his boss rarely lets her guard down its difficult to determine the reason why. But, we know that Dr Alexandra Thorne is attempting to use her high intelligence and knowledge to get her way back into the detective's life via ways she know will breech the DI’s tough exterior and cause her to lose control – inviting someone with the merciless supremacy of Alex Thorne into the driving seat of your life is not something you would want given her track record, believe me!
One of the great strengths of the book, is the great dry humour and great characters of Stone's coldness and Bryant's attitude with her, a great relationship between the two. This book also bringing Dawson's character forward more.
Here we have the return of one nasty character in Dr Alexander Thorne, but Kim Stone is a lady you don't want to mess with and she shows that again when she has to entertain Alexandra Thorne's sick games. Here we have through the book, a mental battle between two very strong and intelligent women.
Angela Marsons keeps to her usual very high standard of writing, character building, twists and shocks with this fast paced, gripping thriller , keeps your attention as you follow two strong plots.

To me the best of three, with great characters, gripping, suspenseful and action packed and lots of great twists, well paced. Also great to get to know the main characters even more added with some nasty villains.

Keeps this great series going, what a great character Erica Foster is.
This is a book every ought to read...powerful, disturbing, but we need to know. I am totally wrecked after reading it....
