Katie (kater07) I am searching for recommendations for books set in WWII and told from the perspective of a Japanese soldier, child, or other adult. It can be memoir, historical fiction, or non-fiction, but it needs to be YA appropriate. It can be set in Japan or in a Japanese Internment Camp.

Thanks!
Katie

I can only think of this book, from the "My Name is America" series. It's a fictional journal of a boy in a an internment camp.

The Journal of Ben Uchida Citizen 13559 Mirror Lake Internment Camp (My Name Is America) by Barry Denenberg

Katie (kater07) Thanks for all of the input. Our 10th graders read Manzanar. It was my 2nd choice after Hiroshima.

We will keep looking at each book suggested. I really appreciate the help.
