My story:
The premise: A superhero story with a twist!
It's the near future, and America has turned into a third world country because of a major economic depression. Sarah is a 16 year old homeless girl who lives in the crime-filled city of New Boston.
Sarah cannot control herself when she see's a crime; she jumps in to help no matter the threat on her own life. When Sarah accidentally ends up taking an action that dooms her whole city and everyone in it, she has no choice but to somehow save the day even though she's a starving girl who can't do a single pushup and can't take a light pinch.
Anyone who likes YA fiction of any kind will like this, as will people who like underdog stories. Even people who hate traditional superhero stories will like this because it is about an average girl, not a superpowered mutant or one of a kind hero.
Word Count: 70 - 75k
Genre: YA, dystopian. Don't worry, there is no love triangle.
Does this interest you at all?

I would love for you to take a look at my 73k word YA sci-fi/fantasy novel, Arriving Dawn. Here is a short summary.
Ever since her village was blasted into dust, Tridon has worked to protect the remainder of Giliath from the same fate. But when she is compelled to kidnap an innocent citizen, it sets off a chain of events in which Tridon’s true essence, along with the future of Giliath, is tested.

I am looking for a beta reader for my 108K contemporary romance novel. It's my first book so it is meant to be a very easy read (such as for a day at the airport). If you would be so kind to consider, I would greatly appreciate it.
Premise-
Florence worked her fingers to the bone to save up enough money to go to the University of Georgia. Leaving her small town to start a big life involved a lot more than leaving her old home. She breaks bonds with her old big paying job and a dysfunctional but heated relationship. Moving to Athens she hopes to move on in her life and progress in a career in graphic design. Can Florence leave behind everything she’s ever known to live a life she thinks she wants?
Let me know =)

The book is set in a modern world very like ours except for the existence of magic-wielding elves. It has a realistic feel threaded with fantasy, in a similar vein to Naomi Novik's Temeraire novels, and it features spy-thriller elements along with young-adult themes of identity. The story centers around Mark Dastrow, a boy who discovers he is not human but in fact half-elven, and tangled up in a decades-old battle that divides the elven royal family. He must learn to accept his mixed heritage as he learns to control his newfound magical abilities, which may be the only thing standing between a dictator and her deadly plans for his family and his home.

Thank you for offering your services. I have a completed and edited contemporary YA novel, clocking around 60k words. Please let me know if you're interested.
Georgia is getting sick of everyone telling her about college and the importance it holds on her future. All fifteen year old Georgia wants is to be free, in every way. She loses track of time daydreaming and is obsessed with Good&Plenty candy.
Georgia's mother, Darla, has other expectations of her daughter. Single parenting isn't easy, but when Darla remarries it's not Georgia's stepfather who helps the two women coexist. Pete, her stepbrother, becomes more than just Georgia's new best friend.
Despite the changes to her life, Georgia remains aloof about the future. She whiles away her afternoons reading Vonnegut and watching butterflies land on dandelions.
But when Georgia witnesses a murder, she has no option but to grow up and start caring about the world around her. Although her world changes in an instant, Georgia struggles to move on and face the real world.
Thank you,
Ana

I am looking for someone to read a fiction novel centered around a mute girl and her friends in high school from a third person point of view. Only the first 12 chapters are completed so far and I would like to have feedback before I get too far into the book. it's about 20k words right now!
I can beta read for you at a later time if you'd like a return service.
Let me know if you're interested! Thank you!

I've written a book! As you can imagine. I'm interested in your help as it's likely a bit controversial and touches upon many different situations in the world. One of them being a young woman trying to make it in America.
My book is dystopian, apocalyptic, sci fi so just know that everything in the main society is rotten and I condone none of it.
Here is the Query Letter. Let me know if you're interested!
We are surrounded,
That’s why the walls went up,
To separate us from them,
But the monsters are still here.
This old world died, leaving New San Francisco alone to choke in a fog of ash. Our city is not ruled by the people. It is ruled by the games. Games The General forces every 18-year-old boy and girl to play or not to play. The Games are brief, but the fallout lasts a lifetime and has formed every one of our shattered identities.
Because of The General we want the buzz of fame not the bore of love. Because of The General we want to trend online for anything but yawn at standing up for something. Because of The General some sleep on silk and others in tubes. Because of The General we are forced to choose between monstrous glory or perpetual defeat.
So, a bullet lodged in The General’s brain will not be enough to save this city. We must also revive its soul. We must join Mom and smelt together the broken pieces of ourselves; and bring forth something more beautiful and more powerful than the blades of The General's City Guard.
But until we do, the true function of these walls is keeping the monsters locked in here, not keeping them out.
THE PHOENIX CYCLE, complete at 110,230 words, is a dystopian novel that will appeal to fans of Brave New World, Fight Club and The Hunger Games.
A chapter of the book has been published in Stoicism Today (Was ranked top 10 for philosophy books on Amazon). Stoicism Today is a book as well as a group composed of Philosophy professors in England. My chapter is used as the modern example of Stoicism. Nearly every main character is discretely based off a philosophy, enabling this story to become more than just another fight between rebels and something evil. It becomes a war over how all of us develop and come to identify with ourselves and those we care for.
My book was made as part of my graduating thesis and was said to be their thesis of the year at The Barrett Honors College of Arizona State University among my thesis board. Members of the board included the Head of Marketing and The Head of Virginia G. Piper Creative Writing department. The thesis was judged on the combination of writing a superior and unique book while at the same time ensuring the book is marketable to a mass audience.

I just finished a round of edits on my YA Scifi, SOTA RADIATION(89K), and would like some feedback. I have posted a blurb and my contact information below.
Giselle will do anything to protect her family. Yet, when her lightning adaptation almost kills her brother, the only way to keep them safe is to leave. And not by choice.
In Minneapolis, Minnesota- her new prison -the Wardens have one rule: be useful. Now the very adaptation that ripped Giselle from her family, is the only thing keeping her alive. She must use her lightning to provide power for the Wardens' underground maze. Fail, and she’ll become the next test subject for the surgical team.
But that’s the least of her problems. When Giselle realizes her brother was keeping a secret from her, she has to escape and return home. If she doesn’t get to him in time, he’ll die… or worse.
If you're interested or have any questions before committing, feel free to PM me on Goodreads or e-mail me at the address below. Thank you for your time! I hope to hear from you!

"Buried Ladies" is a fast-paced novel set along the Texas/ Mexican border -- a place called the valley. It's here that our story starts with a 911 call to report Estella's murder. But, there's no body - only a missing person and a red stain on the carpeting in the home she shares with her husband, Jaime. Soon, bodies turn up in a construction site north of McAllen, but none of them is Estella. So, what's happened to Estella.
Jaime flees McAllen soon after police interview him about his wife's disappearance -- they don't buy his story that she's visiting relatives. As he prepares to fly out, he runs across the real serial killer, a ruthless man who kills his victims as part of his sexual release. Many are poor women from Mexico.
The story winds its way through Mexican cartels, especially the Gulf Cartel, where readers learn about how these organizations operate outside the law with impunity, due to their vast wealth in a poor country. Arturo is one of the leaders. He lives in an opulent home -- really a compound where he enforces the rules of his cartel masters and stores drugs destined to reach the US through is network of mules.
