Anna Kopp | 7 comments Hi there! I was wondering if anyone could help me out! I'm the author of Rise of the Chosen, a dystopian fantasy with a bi MC in a f/f relationship. You can see my bio on my Goodreads author page (friends are always welcome!). I am also bi.

My publisher would like for me to do an interview with gayya.org but they don't provide the questions! They ask for questions I'd like to answer and then get back with the response. I feel kind of silly making up my own interview questions, so I was wondering if anyone else would like to give it a go? Any questions would be appreciated. TIA!

P.D. Workman (pdworkman) - why did you choose to write about ...
- what impact did your own personal experience have ...
- what do you want readers to know
- tell me about your MC (strengths, weaknesses, background, flaws, dilemma/crisis)
- tell me about the world your book is set in. why did you choose this backdrop? what effect does it have on MC?
- tell me something about yourself as an author that no one else knows
- why would people want to read your book?
- what do you love about MCs lover?

What is your favorite thing about writing the characters in this book?
Which character do you feel is most like you?

Kaje Harper | 17365 comments - how do you keep dystopian fiction from being too bleak?
- why did you pick this particular aspect of society to be the driver for your dystopian setting?
- what do you look for or try to write in YA with bi characters to make their gender identity more than just a label?
- did you have any problem deciding how far to take the physical side of the F/F relationship in your book, to conform to plausibility and YA standards
- is there a favorite book or author who inspires you or your writing?
- do you have ideas for more stories in this world?
- what are the easiest and hardest things about fantasy worldbuilding?

Kaje Harper | 17365 comments - do you have teen beta readers? What do you do to try to keep the voice of YA main characters authentic? Do you worry about teen slang outdating quickly and dating your book in the future?
