Finished! And disappointed with this book. The Grisha Trilogy is much better (in my opinion).
When I finished the 1st book in the series people told me that the second one is better. Indeed it is but not as good as The Grisha Trilogy.
It lacks the world details and atmosphere. Sometimes it's not a bad thing when a book is full of action and minimum world building. But not in this case. With almost nothing about the world and no descriptions it lost all the uniqueness, cold, dark, mysterious slavic atmosphere.

I was confused with the first chapter too. I think that's how SoC started out as well. But it showed problems that would become big later on. (hide spoiler)]

Of course Nina manage to get super cool powers from the parem. I love her so much <3

If you think about, all of this is kinda of Kaz's fault. They wouldn't be utterly boned if he just killed Rollins in the Ice Court when he had the chance. Instead he had to draw out his personal vendetta (which is completely justified itself, but still) (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ Everything is finally coming together in an explosive ending! And honestly I'm happy about it. All of these different plans that have like 6 parts to it have really gotten me confused. Like first it was this plan where they have to do this and this. But oh wait. That plan failed! Now it's this plan with this many parts. That plan failed too! Am I making any sense? XD Anyways, bottom line is it is super confusing.

Jesper's father is everything <3 Nothing bad better happen to him.
