SOLVED. Children's book series from 80's/90's about community of animals with individual stories. [s]

Hi all,

I had a series of children's books that were A4 hard back as a child (80's-90's) and they revolved around a community of animals with each having character having a different story. There were possibly 6-10 books in the series.

I now have children of my own and would love to find them if possible to buy for my children.

They had a map at the front which showed each of the characters houses - can't remember exactly but think there may have been a Rusty Fox (?) and a Mole who may have been a priest and had a leaking roof(?).

Appreciate there is not much detail, however if anyone can think of even half a name then I can try and do some more google searching.

By the way, it is definitely not Animals of Farthing Wood.
