Deb Morse-Spooner Recently picked it up and it was a great read. I remember seeing him on Oprah and it floored me. My friend recently lost her husband and they took the time to enjoy every moment. We have so much to be grateful for and not let any minute be wasted.

Courtney Frazier I agree this is one touching story that floored me as well. I am still honored and thrilled to have read such a great story! I may have to sit and read this one again.

Tarran I heard about this book during a workshop and used it as a reference to transform the culture of law firm... As an executive coaching manager it assisted me in the arduous task of changing the culture of that law firm.

Ladyacct Fantastic book, but him actually giving the lecture even better!!!

Young I too prefered seeing him give the lecture to reading the book. Sad for sure because of a life lost too soon but amazing because of Randy himself. The lessons that Randy taught are ones we can be reminded of frequently.

Young you can get the entire lecture at TED.com

Ana Great book! Though it made me sad, I would read it again, definitely. Randy was a true fighter..and a hero!

Juanita I copied some of the theme quotes that carry this book and began to view life in a different way. Randy had so little time - I think just months when he gave the lecture - yet his primary concern was his wife and children. I can only hope that I'm strong enough to live my life this way NOW.

Phyllis The only book I've given as a gift.

Kathy Hale I think I preferred the book. It gave me time to absorb some of the ideas.

Melissa This book is one that I read a while ago and still go back to. It is for me a wake up call when I get stuck in a rut. I reflect on Randy and his love for his children and life and think stop and take time to enjoy everything.

Mia i had to read this book for summer reading in high school... i loved it. it was all so inspiring, just that because he knew he was dying and knew he accomplished the things he wanted to in life. very up lifting =)

Joan Shannon I have the audio book and will reread parts of it over and over. It is one of the most inspiring books I have ever read.

Robin Randy's words were so eloquent. It should be required reading in high school and in college. even adults should read it.

Gayle A beautiful, inspirational read.

Calen I got this as a gift almost two years ago, and once I read it it changed me for the better. Although I'm not always conscious of it this book helped me develop into the person I am today. I would recommend this book to anyone... especially those going through a rough time.

Wallace Peddle What a great outlook to have on life. I loved the book, it is one I will recommend relentlessly :)

Jennifer amazing book! did not want the book to end- for knowing what that meant. i read this about year or two ago, may pick it up and reread it.

Alana I own two copies of this book. One for me and one to lend out to people. It is on my list of books everyone should read in their lifetime.

Robin I never knew there was a video to watch. This was an amazing book.

What more am I going to say about this book apart from what all my friends have said here! It is amazing! I would prefer this kind of lectures/articles/books need to be included in school teaching. This is one book I am going to always keep it in my backpack bag:)

Siobhan I loved this book. I watched the last lecture on youtube. I really found his work interesting and my dissertation was on Alice, which is software to help children to learn how to program.

Hilda The book makes me wonder what kind of messages would I like to pass on to my generations if I have limited time like he did, because his are empowering.

Lubna Yes awesome book. My fav part was about the 'First Penguin'.

Doreen I bought copies for each of my adult sons. While there are other stories about reflecting on one's life, this story was particularly well-written.

Judy In my top 10 favorites. I recommend to everyone I know.
