SOLVED. Illustrated children's book, involves whales (Canadian, I believe). [s]

Hi all,

I haven't been able to find a book I owned as a child. It would have been written in the 1990's, probably between '94-'00 and it was a story about a child who would stay at their grandpa's place in the summer and his grandpa's place was near a cliff overlooking the ocean where orca pods migrate thorough , one year grandpa dies and there is a new calf in the pod and it is believed it's the grandpa. Sweet story, hope someone is familiar with the story. Cheers.
