How long is the wait?

I requested several mystery ARC's two weeks ago, and they are still "pending." What's going on? Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks!

Hi Anita,

It really depends on the publisher. Sometimes it just takes them a while to be approved, and sometimes they just sit on your pending shelf until they are archived, at which point, I believe they count as denied.

You could also check Edelweiss for the titles if you are eager to read them.

Two weeks isn't unusual, I don't really pay attention. I just request a couple more or grab a READ NOW.

That's normal, I've gotten approvals (or declines) a month or two later sometimes. Occasionally, it's been so long I forget about it and then the approval comes in and I'm like "oh yeah!"

Two weeks isnt really that long.......sometimes it happens quicker and sometimes it takes way longer.

There is no particular time frame. Every publisher is different, every book is different. You just have to wait and see :)
