I'm going with a different type of recommendation and going with
if you like a comical plotline and graphic novels.

I'll nominate The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult. Or anything by Jodi Picoult, she's got so many great books.
I hope one of you has an idea of which books are used for which tasks. I'm kinda lost, but I've added mine on the spreedsheat. I'm working on my audiobook and will definitely listen to 5 hours this week and I'm still planning on doing some outside reading later in the week when the weather really picks up here.
Uhh, and a recommandation.. I'll return with that ASAP.
For the map, it needs to be one of the AtY Reading Challenge. The location doesn't matter :)I read outside 20min, youhou! (it's 35°C so it's not really friendly out there).

So I could use it for childhood classic?
I've listened to 2 hours and 15 minutes of my audiobook today. How should I write it on the spreedsheat? If I write 2,25 it adds up to 2,3. For now I've entered 2 hours.
I'm not sure how to enter the books I read that I started before the read-a-thon. We're using them for other squares - I started: My Home As I Remember (poetry) and After the War is Over (female author). If they can't be combined with any other square, I'm still reading A Dance With Dragons, but it's going to take me a little longer :)
I've done the title scramble. Do we all have to play every game or is it enough just one of us has done it?
Sorry if I'm asking too many questions :-)

It's ok now Marina, Zaz's table displays your 2,25 hours. Maybe the cell format only allowed for 1 number after the comma.

I suggest we put the books read in black and if they fit multiple categories we'll see later for which we would enter them.
As you're the only one reading poetry, I already marked this category as done in the spreadsheet and in the second comment of this thread.
Would After the War also work for another category?

No such things as too many questions! As I understood, Team Lemon has to enter each game at least once, but don't let that prevent you of playing the games ;)
Sam wrote: "Would After the War also work for another category?."I don't think so - it is a female author and I started it before the read-a-thon. I just wasn't sure if they could be placed in both categories.

I noted it down for those two categories and we'll see later for which we're going to use it.
Well, I think we are doing an awesome job so far! GO TEAM LEMON!!! Last night I finished After You so it can count as one of the three started before the challenge. I'll update the spreadsheet in a little while when I get to my computer. I hate that I can only do so much on my tablet! Still trying to figure out which book I want to recommended.
Almost time to go home :)I'm going to read The Fugitive tonight for G2 (short story or novella), and I'll try to do G1 (finish a book or story in one sitting) and G3 (read for one straight hour) at the same time.
And I finished the novella in 1 hour and four minutes so it can count for G1, G2 and G3 :)Can't update the spreadsheet on my tablet, will do that tomorrow or maybe later today.
The novella was 125 pages.
It doesn't count for B1 because there are two more novella's in my book.
Lieke, you could download the Sheets app to update the spreadsheet, but it's no problem to do it for you! :)
Yay, 5 already done, we rock!Good night everybody, I'm going to dream of make-up after spending the evening with Lisa Eldridge ;)
I also did my 1h straight, but it was difficult as I wanted to check Goodreads :DI read more of my novella and book started before the challenge and listened a bit of audio (I'm at 3h). I'd some social life after work, so less time to read, I'll try to catch up a little tomorrow because I don't want to complete squares only this weekend. My AtY and red books are under 300p, so with luck they'll be compelling.
I hope everyone has fun for the moment :)
Sorry team I'm just logging on - I got confused and didn't realised we had started...time zone thing messing with me too...anyway...this is my first read-a-thon and I'm a bit confused!!What do you need me to read? Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Ok I read the excel spreadsheet and think I get it. I put in the book I recommended to the sheet - is that right?.I can read a short story - Hero's Moment.
Ok yep got one - The Rock Star's DaughterAnd as it starts with R it can count for my book starting with my name in ATY!! Win win!
Goodmorning team! A new day of reading is ahead of us :-)(I sound fresh, but I'm not)
I just played the "Guess that cover" game, so that's one more game we can tick off. There's also the "Five facts about me". I need to think a little before I answer those, but maybe one of you want to play that game?
My plan today is to listen to my audio during the day and when I get home this afternoon I'll see if I can finish The last kingdom.
My book recommandation: I'm not always a fan of YA but I just read The Sky Is Everywhere and absolutely loved it. It as beautiful written, and there were so many interesting characters. It has some very serious sides but is still light and warm.
Hi Bec and welcome! Yes the deadline is Sunday, if you could find a book set in summer it would be great, but if not, don't sweat it. The goal is to have fun and read as much as we can without putting too much pressure on ourselves!Edit: sorry I didn't see your comment about The Rock Star's Daughter, that's great!
Zaz wrote: "I also did my 1h straight, but it was difficult as I wanted to check Goodreads :D"It was the same for me on Monday, I kept checking the time to see if the hour was done yet ;)
Nicole wrote: "I just finished Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, and spent an hour straight reading it!"
Great Nicole, I wrote it down for two categories and we'll see where we put it at the end.
I suggest we start writing down on the B3 line the books we finish for ATY and then we put the rest on B1, ok for you?
Pages Read Tuesday: 186Time read outside: 0
Books Read (#) 0
Books for ATY (#) 0
Read-a-Thon games done: 3/12
I did the "Five facts about me" game.
Good morning! It looks like it will be a good day for reading :) My recommendation if you like non-fiction is Born on a Blue Day: Inside the Extraordinary Mind of an Autistic Savant by Daniel Tammet. It was so interesting to get into his mind to see how he processes information and deals with social situations he finds so difficult. Quite a fascinating read.
Shall I read a short story too? I've got 2 to read so could do one now, or save it if we don't need it
Bec, for the moment, Lieke finished one and I'm currently reading another. You can keep it for later this week, better to finish full books before :)
I've listened to my audiobook for 2 hours and 45 minutes, so I've done my 5 hours in total.I'm still missing a couple of hours to finish the book. Can the rest of the book count as pages? Does anybody know?
Yes the mods said you could count the pages for the total pages, but not the same pages you counted for the audiobook square. Hope it makes sense?
I added beautiful (or not) smileys to the bingo card in the doc, so it's easier to see what's completed :)
Hi Everyone, just getting my day started here! I started Remember Jamie Baker yesterday on my Kindle but it doesn't list page numbers so I won't be able to update with my pages read until I've finished the book. Just wanted to let ya'll know so you don't think I've stopped reading. :)
I was working from home this afternoon and had easy spreadsheet things to do (I love when my job has me do spreadsheet-crazy things haha), so I listened to 4 hours of The Forgotten Garden! That helps me to complete my part for the audiobook square. In total I read 340 pages, half-way through the goal for O1 after 2 1/2 days, I'm impressed with myself ;)
No problem Keri, I'm also on Kindle so I convert my % to pages and it's a little annoying!Well done, Sophie :)
I read for half an hour outside (total of 1 hour) and finished my first read-a-thon book, Face Paint: The Story of Makeup!
