I know! It took me half the day before I realised what the last two covers were...

I finished Tease by Amanda Maciel, it would fit in a one word title and female author but don't know if those squares are filled yet. I read 200 pages and may read some more tonight. Everyone should read Tease, it deals with a very important topic in such an interesting way.
And I guess it could fit in with read a book set in the summer. There are two timelines and one is set in July and August.
I've just participated in the cover guessing game (Does it still count if I didn't get them all?) and the "five facts about yourself" thread.
I just finished Wouldn't It Be Deadly which would work for either historic or mysteryI'm now up to 767 pages total read and 2 hrs listened to an audiobook
I just finished Plotted: A Literary Atlas for today's book. 128 pages.I just had two days of 11+ hour meetings and am exhausted! I'll update our cards and lists tomorrow.
Happy Wednesday, team.

Number of ATY challenge books completed: 0, but one in progress
Color of completed books' covers: Yellow (if we are counting Harry Potter for that)
Read-A-Thon game participation: 5/12 (I think that's how many there have been so far?)

Books started prior to challenge: 0
One thing I've really learned my lesson on in the past few weeks - to actually stop reading when I start getting tired. I used to sometimes feel like I needed to push myself to keep going, either because I really wanted to read more or I didn't feel like I had read "enough." I've learned by now not to force it, and just stop when I get tired otherwise I don't actually absorb anything or enjoy what I'm reading.
Today felt like a very slow day though. Very busy day of work and a few things to do at home afterwards led to not very much motivation to read.
Today's totals:102 pages read - The Lady Elizabeth
30 mins audio - Trigger Warning by Neil Gaiman
Total for readathon:
403 pages
2.5 hrs audio
2 books finished
I swear I'm reading less this week than usual. 14 pathetic pages yesterday! But the weather was so magnificent here, we spent all afternoon by the lake with friends ... it was way too nice to read. Yes, I really did say that ...
I apologize for the posting delay. My dog needed a bath, and I accidentally lost my first posting attempt. It's late.Day #3 (8/24) Stats:

I finished two non-ATY challenge books. They are as follows:
Necessity by Jo Walton
one-word title
sci-fi/fantasy
female author
book in a series (amazing conclusion to the Thessaly series)
cover is mostly brown (N/A)
and
The Sisters Brothers written by Patrick deWitt and narrated by John Pruden
contains an article in the title
OverDrive lists it as historical fiction, but I viewed it more as a darkly humorous western
in book format, the cover is mostly black and white (N/A)
(Do audiobook "covers" even count?)
It appears as though our industrious team has met the relevant red-starred goals, but I hope that the total counts help. :)

We're close to our total page goal. We're at 3722/4000. I bet we'll complete that today!
I just finished a book that I started prior to the read-a- thon and read 212 pages book finished is for week 29
so can be used for g4 and o1
I read 40 pages today. Our guests are leaving tomorrow morning so after that my pace will pick up again :)
I only read about 20 pages today, just wasn't feeling like reading. I'm hoping to read a good chunk of All these things I've done tomorrow.
I am abandoning The Lady Elizabeth. The writing is just grating on me, and I already know the story - from her nonfiction book, which is excellent. This is a slow, long slog and I can't bear to spend more time on it.I still highly recommend Alison Weir's nonfiction, but she is not a novelist.
I searched my house for another green cover and found The Wind in the Willows The Wind in the Willows. Mine is a 1969 edition and could not find it on Goodreads, but here is a photo - it is green! This can work for the children's book category.
Today's total: 86 pages(48 Lady Elizabeth, 38 Wind in the Willows)
Total for week: 489 pages, 2.5 hrs of audio

Longest single reading session: 4 hr
Total approximate time spent reading: 16 hours (4 today + 12 over the past two days)

Today, I finished reading Love Letters to the Dead, which I think can fill in a few gaps (YA book, female author, etc). I read 203 pages, bringing my total up to 706 all week so far.

Day 4, I read 5 pages of short stories and 127 pages of The Blind Assassin. 26% to go on that one.Today, I'm planning on finishing the rest of my book for the children's book category. And reading another big chunk of TBA.
I've just finished Mummies in the Morning, which can count for a children's book, female author, series, article in the title, fantasy ... just a few. :)I also read for over an hour straight last night, so you can pop me on that list too!
Here's what we've accomplished the last 2 days:B3: Debra, Elin Birna, Emm, Mimmi & Rachel took care of the ATY books.
I4: Mimmi & I read books set in summer.

Here are the few things we have left going into the home stretch.I1: We're on track with the read-a-thon games. We've participated on all of them so far and will just keep rocking it through Sunday.
I2: Graphic Novels: We have one read & need one more. I know a few of you mentioned reading one, so we'll see who finishes first.
N1: Rainbow: We have Emm doing The Martian for orange, Marta doing The Wind in the Willows for green, and Joann doing The Raven, The Masque of the Read Death and the Cask of Amontillado for violet. Joann, did you finish your violet book? I wasn't clear on if you finished the whole book. Emm & Marta, are you both good to finish your books by Sunday?
O2: Reading Map: Debra & Rachel have added books to the reading map. We still need one more.
Only 4 squares left! Great work team. I wonder how the other teams are doing?
Day 5 Update:I didn't have much time to read today, so progress was very slow.

How is it? It's one of those books that I've been meaning to read forever, but never actually got around to.
Do we have yellow dor the rainbow or am I supposed to read Silver linings playbook for that one? For my stats I read 90 pages of All these things I've done on friday and I hope to finish it today.
Mimmi wrote: "Do we have yellow dor the rainbow or am I supposed to read Silver linings playbook for that one? For my stats I read 90 pages of All these things I've done on friday and I hope to finish it today."I think Katie put down Harry Potter and the Cursed Child for yellow.
My Friday stats:
Pages: 87
Audio: 30 min
Off to read! :)
Yes, I finished the Violet colored, sorry for not letting you know. Do we have an orange book yet? I've got only one hour left on my audiobook
I just finished The Wind in the Willows, you can check off green! Add 34 pages today.@Rachel, it is delightful. One of the best children's books I have read. The language is superb and it is just so good natured and whimsical. I loved it!
Total read: 697 pages, 2.5 audio, 3 books finished
I've had a super reading day today. Four hours under an umbrella by the lake ... I finished off The Blind Assassin and also read The Old Man and the Sea in one sitting (well, one lying down). I'll have to get onto finishing Persepolis tomorrow for the graphic novel!
I finished All these things I've done, reading 120 pages. I think it can count as a read cover if we need that.
I've finished Dark Places and added it to the ATY reading map. Then I saw that it already exists there, but not the secondary location which I also added. Emm, would you say it counts as a Reading Map submission for our bingo card? Are we missing any colors of the rainbow? I was planning to read The Complete Persepolis tomorrow, but since Jody has already read it, and there's no need for another summer book (I was planning to read The sun also rises), maybe there's something else missing that I can get onto? Otherwise I might just read Persepolis anyway, been looking forward to reading it :)

I'm just on my phone today, so I can't do a full update, but just so we're all on track with our card, here's a quick status. Today you awesome ladies finished 2 of our remaining blocks. I2: Jody finished a graphic novel to complete this square.
O5: Elin Birna took care of our third group reading map posting.
So we just have our read-a-thon games, which we've been doing great with. And our rainbow. With Joann on violet and Marta on green, all we need is orange. Joann or Emm, whichever of you can finish your book by tomorrow, we can use that.
You guys are so awesome! We are so close to the end of the read-a-thon and bingo domination.
I just finished my orange book,
.I really enjoyed it, don't typically read humor books so it was a nice change.
Katie wrote: "Woohoo! All blocks complete except for the games, and that one is going great!"Awesome team!
