Surely they were lying. Surely all their words were rumours. If it were true, I wouldn't be here surely? I'd be in prison already, right? Killing one's wife is not a transgression the police force of this ridiculously strict country take lightly. So why am I still here?

I have a confession to make, however. I didn't kill my wife. Mike did. I saw him do it. Mike picked up the knife and carved her open right in front of me. And the trial was fair; all the evidence stacked up against Mike. But the court kept throwing around phrases like 'dissociative identity disorder' and 'multiple personalities'. What does that even mean, anyway?
