Hi everyone. I wish I could say that I was the last of the great romantics or the first...or even in the middle, but I'm probably not. The closest that I can come to reading a romance is a Barbara Kingsolver book about protecting coyotes in the southern mountains, unless Lonesome Dove can be considered a romance (I think it is). I can say that 'Titanic' and 'Message in a Bottle' are a few of my favorite movies. I am more of an adventure, suspense or thriller guy and my name is Dan. Thank you for letting me in the group.
Welcome, Dan! You’ll find that romance has lots of sub genres and you might just find a romantic suspense author or two that you might enjoy:)
Hello,My name is Sonya and I have been an on again off again book junkie. I love all different genres but I just recently fell back into romance novels especially audiobooks because this world doesn't give me the time to appreciate a book in hand so the next best thing right. I only author I really like and it could be that I am also into true crime and sci-fi as well is Shiloh Walker. The book that got me hooked is The Missing. It has a little bit of everything. My new job has allowed me to listen to audiobooks all day which is a blessing but I would really love more romance books were the woman is on top....or should I say is calling all the shots. If I could get any recommendations that would be amazing. I love a strong woman as a protagonist. The most recent book I listened to was Hot Asset by Lauren Layne. That one was really good. I love a good back story.
I live in Dallas, Tx and really don't get out much but if there is anyone living close to this area that would love to get together to talk about books please let me know. As my husband says...you need some friends.
I am so excited to join this group and hope to get a lot of good recommendations.
Welcome to the group, Sonya! Glad to have you here.
Every month, we open up a topic for members to post what they’re reading. Some offer reviews/comments so that’s a great place to look for recommendations. We also have a topic open specifically for recommended authors, narrators and series that should be helpful.
Enjoy!

Hi My name is Joyce and I've been listening to audiobooks since about the 1980's. I started with listening to old time radio shows my dad had and got hooked. Then I started on books on cassette whenever I could get one that was not abridged. Then Audible.com started in 2000 and I was a charter member and still am. I currently have over 600 books with them. Then the libraries started making them available and I use them to supplement my challenges on Goodreads. I am also a member of Scrib'd which has a big selection as well. I also am a member of Kindle unlimited and can sometimes find something there as well. As for my genres that I go to is usually Paranormal Romance, Urban Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Mystery and an occasional nonfiction.
As for favorite narrators I like most of them. Some are better than others but I am not overly picky about it.
Favorite Female Narrators -Susan Ericksen and Lorelei King
Favorite Male Narrators: James Marsters, Jim Frangione, and Jim Dale
Hi Joyce and welcome! I don’t believe I’ve known an Audible charter member and you certainly have a long listening history. I use to borrow unabridged cassettes from Cracker Barrel for road trips so I’ve been that route, too.
Enjoy the group! I see you’ve already joined a challenge and hood you’ll find even more to take a chance in.

Welcome, Joyce. We seem to have genres and narrators in common.
Glad you mentioned Kindle Unlimited. They recently added to the ebook/audio combinations available. It seems to have happened in May because the April 24 book was ebook when I downloaded but when I looked in May it had become ebook/audio combination along with others.
You mentioned library. Do you have hoopla access?

Yes I use Hoopla but not often I don't find many books there that I want. I usually use the Libby app now because I have two library cards. New York and Florida. I like my New York account much better as they have so much more available.
I was lucky I was able to renew it again for two years even though I don't live there anymore. I go up often enough to see my son who is autistic and lives a wonderful group home there.
Oh my word! Why did I not know about this group? I have simply fallen in love with audio books! I just ended Gaelen Foley Ascension Trilogy. The last book was narrated by Nell Geisslinger and it was lovely. I'm looking forward to browsing around. I assume you have audible of the month reads? Can't wait! :D
Welcome, Shannon! No, we don’t have monthly group reads anymore but we do have buddy reads.
Enjoy!

Thank you Jonetta, I will have to look into that! :D
Hi all, my name is Rochelle and I am happy to be here. I love that I was able to find a group that loves romance books as much as I do. I listen to audiobooks while I am at work and it helps me get through the day. If I can't get enough romance at home, at least I know that can get it from my book boyfriends. 😉 Feel free to add me as a friend. I am always welcome to meeting new people.

You're welcome. Hopefully staff will remove whoever this is from Goodreads.
Just heard back from Goodreads. She’s been removed from the site.
I was suspicious from the start but never tested the link.

Thanks for letting me know. I looked at the profile but was not on my higher security computer where I would have checked the link.
Hi everyone, my name is Isabella White. Author of the 4ever series and other standalone romance novels. Hi everyone! My name is Sarah and I'm an aspiring author. While I don't read as much as I would like to, when I do I listen to audiobooks. They make it easier for me and I can usually finish a book in one or two settings, especially if I'm into this story, which is great. My favorite genre is Romance, but I also like a few books in other genres. It just depends on the author and the story.
Hi! Thanks for having me! I'm an audiobook narrator and voracious reader. I have way too many favorite narrators to list them all. I'm always looking for new people to listen to so I'm happy to take suggestions. I'm currently listening to The Ruthless Gentleman by Louise Bay, narrated by Erin Mallon and Shane East.
Welcome, Kelsey. You'll find plenty of voracious romance listeners here who are happy to make suggestions.

Hi my name is Brandy and I'm an audible romance reader junkie! I go through a book a day at least as I listen all day long at work (yay for my job). I've been know to buy a book based just on the narrator (hello Sebastian York and Joe Ardin you sexy beasts). I like my romance on the uber sexy, sometimes very dark side. I love me some alphaholes and MC romances are a guilty pleasure of mine. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone is enjoying in this genre.
