I'm going to join in the discussion for this book. I have to say this is a dark book. The scenes here tested my comfort zone (BDSM) but the plot is intriguing and the writing style is good. Pepper Winters writes good dark romances. This is similar to Captive in the Dark by C.J. Roberts. The BDSM -- Fifty Shades of Grey pales on this.
I've read her other series, Debt Inheritance. It's more brutal than this series.
