What could have the red priest see? One black eye and ten long arms, sailing on a seas of blood? A long boat?

I don't know what it could possibly be.

Re: Tyrions lack of experience with other dwarfs

"His own sweet sister had told him of the last, even offering to find him a bitch in heat if he cared to try it out. When he asked politely of she were referring to herself Cersei had thrown a cup of wine in his face. "

Ok that was funny! Sorry Tyrion got wine in his face but he had to know it was coming.

This book is ok. It is not amazing though. Just reading 2 chapters a day.

I'm pretty sure that's Greyjoy related. Think of Euron Crow's eye... and I read this in the Wiki of Ice and Fire: "According to Euron's nephew, Theon Greyjoy, [Euron's] patch conceals a "black eye shining with malice". His right eye is as blue as summer sky and is regarded as his "smiling eye"."
Besides, if you count the tentacles on Greyojoy's kraken, you'll see that they're ten:
description

Tyrion had never seen a bigger moon. Monstrous, swollen, it looked as if it had swallowed the sun and woken with a fever.
This was beautiful.

What do you think happened to Valyria? I mean, the way Tyrion described it, they had earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis all at once... Some serious shit went down. But why? And how? Was it truly a God's anger, or was there something else? And if it was a God, which one?

Brianna (bebecburt) | 562 comments I find it interesting that Melisandre thinks Stannis is her god reborn, and other priests in her religion think it's Dany.

"Twice exiled, and small wonder... I'd exile him too if I could. The man is cold, brooding, sullen, deaf to humor. And those are his good points."

How long does he have to check himself for signs of greyscale?

I think it was one of the Kettleblack brothers that found Penny and her brother? Maybe?

That's what I thought when I read it.

Didn't Melisandre say in her chapter that one had to be careful not to see what one wanted to see in the flames?

She did - I wonder if she's seeing what she wants, or other priests are seeing what they want.

I wonder the same thing.
