It's not contemporary - it's regency - but Edenbrooke by Julianna Donaldson is funny and also really romantic and clean. :)
I absolutely second the suggestion for 'Edenbrooke' byJulianna Donaldson, and would also highly recommend~
The Pioneer Woman: Black Heels to Tractor Wheels by Ree Drummond[she's The Pioneer Woman from The Food Network-Contemporary],Brighton Road by Susan Carroll[Regency],The Highwayman of Tanglewood[Medieval] by Marcia Lynn McClure, Mrs. Drew Plays Her Hand[Regency]by Carla Kelly, Not His Type(Opposites Attract,#1,Contemporary)by Lisa Crane, and Pride's Prejudice[Contemporary] by Misty Dawn Pulsipher, all are such fun, clean, romantic reads.
If you like novellas (being busy, I love them!), here are some contemporary fiction stores that are clean, funny, and sweet:Novellas

WOW!!! Thanks everyone. You guys really stocked my up! I'm looking forward to enjoying these books!
I got a LONG list of books to consider from all my groups. I started with "Not HIs Type: Opposites Attract" by Lisa Crane and I am LOVING It so far. I read a third of it last night - way into the middle of the night because I didn't want to put it down. ; ) Thanks for the tip, Christine!
Thanks for the tip! I gave Not His Type five stars and reviewed it. On to Edenbooke . . .
How clean is clean enough for you? All the contemporary books I've read have love scenes but most are behind closed doors. I prefer historical romances but not Edenbrook. It didn't live up to potential and the heroine is dopey.
I appreciate everyone's perspective. I have a print copy of Edenbrooke waiting for me by my reading chair. I'll be starting it tonight. As far as "how clean is clean enough for you" goes, I prefer very clean. Not Into You is about as sexually suggestive as I am comfortable with.

I am so happy that you also found "Not His Type" a 5-star read as I did. I hope you will also love Edenbrooke. I admit that the heroine acts somewhat silly, but I just decided to suspend belief and go with it,so had a really fun time reading it.She was much, much easier to like than those heroines that are either just TSTL or not likeable at all... who are so common in romances.
I also really had a blast reading "The Pioneer Woman: Black Heels to Tractor Wheels" it it just so funny, and I loved that it is set in today's world and with a modern day cowboy. I have a life-long attraction for cowboys, and love cowboy romance stories. :] It's so cool that it's her memoir!
I also stick with books that close the door on bedroom scenes.
I'd also recommend Edenbrooke. Also, Sarah m Eden has written many sweet clean romances though she writes historical fiction. I highly recommend all of her books
I absolutely LOVED Edenbrooke!!! Read the entire book over the weekend! I'm adding it to my favorites list!
BTW Lisa Crane has a delightful short story - Loved Remembered" that is a free download today. I read it on Saturday and really enjoyed it.

I loved Edenbrooke as well! If you enjoy contemporary western romance, you might enjoy the Sweet Montana Bride Series. The books are clean yet passionate, and have a bit of action in them as well, as each is centered around a witness protection program. Reese's Cowboy KissJade's Cowboy CrushCassie's Cowboy Crave

Has anyone read any other books by Julianne Donaldson?
Blackmoore is also by Julianne Donaldson and is an excellent book. Edenbrooke is still my favorite of the two, but would highly recommend both.
I loved Blackmoore! An author similar to Julianne Donaldson is Sarah M. Eden. I really enjoyed The Kiss of a Stranger and Seeking Persephone. Definitely this two authors are among my favorites.
Thanks to everyone for their comments. And, Andrea, thanks for the tip about Eden's books. I added them to my list.
Here are some contemporary books that I really enjoyed, and they are all clean. Masquerade
The Reluctant Bachelorette
Steal His Heart
Five Days in Skye
Almost Midnight
The Wedding Game
You Belong With Me
A Timeless Romance Anthology: Summer Wedding Collection
Fiance by Fate
Reese's Cowboy Kiss
If you're in the mood for a different genre I have tons of suggestions. Happy Reading! :)

The Harlequin Heartwarming line has a great selection of clean contemporary reads. The ones I've read have all been really clean. The Entangled Bliss line is also clean (although the steam level depends on the author), any sex is behind closed doors, but some have innuendo and may push things a bit, etc. I enjoyed the books by Jennifer Shirk, but to be honest some of the authors make me nervous so I always research before reading any from this line. Their idea of clean isn't always the same as mine.
I really enjoy lynn kurland .... Hers are modern and historical, with tons of humor and clean romance ...
I follow Nellie's reviews. She reads and reviews a lot of romances and comments on how she liked them if they were clean.https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/4...
has anyone read Practice Makes Perfect by Julie James? it is on this book shelf but the reviews don't make it sound like a clean read. it sounds funny though - so I hope that somebody will tell me its not too steamy or full of four letter words :o) thanks
It was my understanding that her books aren't clean. I read a review about PMP that says it was only kisses and any sex was behind closed doors though...
If you like YA, then Ally Carter's Gallagher Girls books are contemporary (super-spy version) and funny. I'm 38 and I really enjoyed reading them.If you don't mind Regency, then some of Georgette Heyer's romances are funny. They're all squeeky clean. I laughed the most reading Fredericka and reading Faro's Daughter.

I love Georgette Heyer!!! Friday's Child, Cotillion and The Unknown Ajax are my favourites!

I am looking for a really good "clean" contemporary romance - but I'd consider one that wan't contemporary. I'd like to find one, or two, or 1,000 that made me laugh.
Any suggestions?
