Say hello, pretty please?
Hahaha...this thread. Love it! I've got all my food ready and waiting! Even bought some champagne, cuz, yeah, I can. *smile* Can't wait to stuff myself silly!
Hmm, yes, I guess we have been a little quiet lately, personally its been a super long and difficult year and I'm just hanging out for it to end! Here in Australia the end of the school year is just a couple of weeks away and as I work part time as a preschool teacher I just can't wait to get to the end and enjoy a beautiful sunny summer break! To all of you who will be celebrating Thanksgiving I hope you have a fabulous time!
And for everyone . . .
2016 has not been my favorite year for many, many reasons. So I'm there with you Princess Jane. Hope the end of your school year goes smoothly. For all of you celebrating Thanksgiving, hope you have a happy and safe holiday.
Michael wrote: "Not my favourite either! Lets make 2017 the year for all of us."Michael, ROCKS! Here's to 2017!
Hi everyone! I'm Christi and I love to read and write (particularly poetry).
I am currently doing an internship for a company that distributes a really interesting documentary on romance fiction - it is called Love Between the Covers.
I have attached the trailer link if anyone would like to take a look!
https://vimeo.com/ondemand/lovebetwee...
It includes interviews with the likes of Nora Roberts, Beverly Jenkins, Eloisa James - a great look at the romance fiction community in general!
Have a great day!
Christi
Hi Christi. welcome.Well, I'm glad the gang has been a bit quiet; I don't feel so bad for my absence. ;-P
I am slowly healing. Almost there! 7 weeks of labyrinthitis!!!!
I quit my day job yesterday; just couldn't face going back, so fingers crossed for my next adventure! Eek! Weirdly not worried. Just free and happy right now.
Over on my 'I need a hug' post, I just gave consolation hugs to many.
2016 (the year of change) has been a real challenge for so many.
I think we're all feeling a bit tired.
Hang on in there. It must be near the good bit now.
Nobody said it'd be easy, just that it'd be worth it.
I hope the American contingent had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday. Do you all feel wonderfully fat today? :O
I heard pecan pie mentioned; yum! But I always have to say it like they do in When Harry Meets Sally like 'pecan piiiiiiiie' :0
Anyway, I should be free, willing and able to pop up a bit more soon.
Love you all.
Oh; and one reviewer just told me a about a review site (it's free!). I should probably say this bit in a post on some helpful stuff area, but I'm tired and feeling lazy. Feel free to hoof it across, my royals. http://uncagedbooks.com/
I have taken advantage of Black Friday and Cyber Monday with a freebie (will post on correct thread) and a true short story. No hiding behind fiction on this one. If you like American football and need a laugh my short story will deliver. Now its time to have a rest from writing and promote like crazy.

Glad to hear you're starting to feel better, TL. My Thanksgiving was great. Filled with lots of food. We had Grape Nut Pie, which is something my family always has. You could call it a 'poor man's Pecan Pie' but waaaaaaay better:)And now that Thanksgiving is over I can put up my tree! Yay! Totally gonna do it today:) Seriously. I am. *grins madly*
Michael wrote: "Annie wrote: "Aiya! We have been too quiet. Umm, uhh...Better now? XD"
Brilliant!"
May I disturb you from putting up the Christmas Tree? By the way, I like expensive red wine and chocolates.
I cant find a live thread for freebie promos? I have one for 5 days???
Hey, Michael! We do have a thread for promos and whatnot. Here's the link and read the rules to post one of your own promos:)https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Singing a Madonna (Madge in UK) song FROZEN when your thread not open. No current thread open it seems.
Hi Christie! Welcome! *takes a cookie*Hey, when people put up their trees, can we get some pics? I only get a lame *I mean lovely* Menorah. Seriously though, I absolutely love Christmas stuff and usually have to go invade friend's houses to get a fix. Happy start to the holiday season everyone, whatever you celebrate (or don't).

What a lovely idea, J. Perhaps we could start a thread in the fun/random area. Cuz I know Princess Jane and I love Christmas too. Oh, and we can convince Mistress Ann she needs the biggest tree she can possibly get. *grins*

Closed to new comments.
I love Christmas. Unfortunately, I live in a country that doesn't celebrate it. I can't even get a tree. :(
Oh, I'm sorry, Michael. I misunderstood. That is frozen from comments because those are the rules. You need to create your own post under that area, which I believe is titled Marketing. (I'm on my phone and can't remember.)

Wait! You don't celebrate Christmas in Australia. Thinking you are all on the beach getting a tan. I will swap you for the snow we have this morning in Nova Scotia!
Michael wrote: "Wait! You don't celebrate Christmas in Australia. Thinking you are all on the beach getting a tan. I will swap you for the snow we have this morning in Nova Scotia!"Oh we, do in Australia! But I live in the Middle East at the moment.
It's haram (against Islam) to celebrate Christmas here. Most celebrations are banned. Same with Valentine's Day. :)
I would LOVE snow, though. It rained yesterday (one of about 3 rain days we get per year) and I was giddy with excitement!
I have so many wine colleagues in Australia and just thought you were kidding. I understand now. The rain event reminds me of Arizona. The locals also have parties there when it rains.Take care. Mike

Thanks to everybody. I started a new thread. I have just spent time looking at all the neat threads in this group. I have got far too cozy and lazy talking to everybody on this thread and its time to explore!
Aislinn wrote: "Thanks ladies!"You're welcome! Check out this thread . . . https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... . . . when you're feeling the need for a Christmas fix! Queen Amanda and I have already started it off with lots of Christmassy pictures!!
Michael wrote: "Wait! You don't celebrate Christmas in Australia. Thinking you are all on the beach getting a tan. I will swap you for the snow we have this morning in Nova Scotia!"I live in Australia and I'll be sitting on the beach working on my tan after Christmas! Although I'll get more freckles than tan!!
And ooh, snow!! I adore snow but it doesn't snow here!! Sooooo sad!! I'm actually going to make fake snow this Christmas so I can have my very first white Christmas, I'm so excited!!
Uh oh Aislinn, no Christmas for you! Eek! ;-( But hold it in your heart and I'm sure our thread will give you a "fix". xx
My decs will hopefully go up Thurs (energy levels allowing). I've been cleaning & tidying using my decoration as an incentive.
Enjoy your "snow" Princess.
We had a frost this morning; is that close enough?? ;-)
TL Clark (author of love) wrote: "Enjoy your "snow" Princess. We had a frost this morning; is that close enough?? ;-)"
Haha, no frost isn't quite close enough cos we get the occasional frost in Melbourne!
Hope you are starting to feel much better!

Ember wrote: "LOL! That's awesome!!! You have to post a pic for all of us who are snowman challenged!!"Haha, I will most definitely post pictures of him!!
That is awesome! We get a lot of snow in New England. Like... feet and feet and feet of snow. But that doesn't usually start until January. Occasionally we'll get some before that. We had an inch of snow a couple of weeks ago and my girls went crazy for it. If it snows I'll take a picture and pass it along.
Hmmm...I spent today shopping for stuff so I can properly sort my kitchen out tomorrow. Looks like my Christmassy decorating may be delayed a day :( But almost fully healed. Had a slight wobble going round the busy shops today, but definitely much much better :)
And next week really promising myself to immerse in writing. Yay! :-)
J. wrote: "If it snows I'll take a picture and pass it along."Yes, I love the sound of that!! I can never see enough pictures of snow!!
